Had to take a photo of the new living room additions before taking the Christmas garland down 🤩😍.
For Christmas we were kindly gifted these rechargeable wall lights by family (they’re a great find from Amazon!) & in-between Christmas and New Year I did a freehand makeover on this charity shop mirror. I used paints left over from another project mixed with a couple of new sample pots.
One of the goals for this year is to decide on a pattern for the fireplace tiling project. Not sure if we will get around to completing the project this year but we’re looking forward to making mood boards of potential options 😊 by @home_zero_

DIY diaries: How To - Lamp edition 😁🤩✨

I bought the pack of two for this DIY kit as I’ve got another vase I want to turn into a lamp. I love some of the lamps from @oka but they’re not in budget so I set about looking to DIY my own. Im pretty pleased with how it’s turned out

made a lamp out of a @homesense_ukie vase to put on my fb marketplace drawers & we changed the wardrobe handles to these white marble effect ones a few months ago. Little updates to make it more cohesive and a little bit more us. Next on the job list for in here is to finally sort out the wall, sew some cafe style curtains & recover the lampshade for this lamp (which I got at a charity shop). Loving how cosy it feels with the lamp 🤩😍

August into September - Garden Diaries

Who knew one day in the garden would turn into this? 🤯
It’s been so fun watching everything grow and planning garden layouts and designs this year. Most of all, this space has been so healing whilst going through waves of grief this year.

In spring time I started watching Instagram videos of gardening by @chicksandveg
@ninatheplantmum & @earthboundgardening_ and then the hyper fixation kicked in and now here we are.

More reno journey content to come soon 🤞

It would be nice if these photos showed a finished hallway and staircase, but alas it’s all still a work in progress.
We need to fill areas and repaint and reseal painted areas and then add the stair rods.

All things to look forward to achieving at some point 😅

The sunshine this month has meant we’ve pressed pause on updates indoors whilst we’ve focused on outside.

I’ve come to enjoy gardening almost just as much as interior design. I’ve realised that gardening is another way for me to share my creative outlet and I’ve loved reading and scrolling to see how others design their outdoor spaces which can bring just as much joy as decorating inside the home.

Swipe to see the crazy before vs after photos of the back garden space 🫣🪴. More indoor updates soon 🤞

Here are some of our goals for this year with making progress on turning this house into our home. Every room is currently unfinished. If we can get our bathroom and bedroom ticked off by the end of this year, we will class it as a major win! by @home_zero_

One of two felt animal trees this year. They are in our bedroom this year to prevent any naughty paws from shredding them 🐾😅🎄

This room is very much so unfinished (bricks still exposed, unfinished painting, plastering needing to be done, still using cardboard to cover windows), but it’s on the list for 2026 & for now we’re just focusing on enjoying Christmas in our half completed renovation of a home👷🏻‍♀️👷🏻‍♂️ by @home_zero_
