THE BEST HOMEMADE LEMONADE :

So in NZ they call a sprite or lemon/lime soda a Lemonade! But this is Old Fashion, American Lemonade, perfect for sipping outside on a Sunny Day ☀️

Rub the sugar and lemon zest together, mix that with freshly squeezed lemon juice and you have just made the perfect lemonade base. Add water and ice & Enjoy!!

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons lemon zest
11/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice, about 6-8 large juicy lemons total
1/2 cup sugar

Instructions:
1. Zest 3 lemons in a bowl, avoiding the white parts. Add the sugar and rub the two together using your fingers, for 2 to 3 minutes, or until fragrant. The lemon zest will completely enhance the flavor 🍋
2. Roll the lemons on the work surface using your palm, pressing them down, juice 6 to 8 lemons in to the bowl.

Store the mixture in a container, in the fridge.

3. To make the lemonade, strain in 1 part lemon base and 4 to 6 parts water, to taste. Add ice and garnish with fresh lemon slices.

I went with 1 part lemonade base, 5 parts water, 1 part ice ☺️
