When we build homes, we invest in local life too…
Across England and Wales, developers invest billions of pounds each year in Affordable Housing, schools, healthcare, transport, open spaces and other local infrastructure, supporting jobs, strengthening local economies and helping create thriving, sustainable communities. But they also design spaces with communities in mind. Thank you @denbury_homes for sharing this example with us. #newhomes #newbuild #buildingcommunities #powertobelong #localinvestment by @homebuildersfederation

We were thrilled to sponsor the Home Builders Federation (HBF) Planning Conference on Wednesday last week.

Then, on Thursday, Callum Parker joined the panel at the Home Builders Federation (HBF) Technical Conference, to talk about water challenges following our joint publication on the challenges and solutions surrounding SuDS.

If you missed the panel discussion, take a read of our joint publication over on our website. Link in the comments below... Panel discussion on "Water Challenges" at an HBF event. Five individuals are seated on stage, with one speaking into a microphone. A projector displays the panel's title and participant names, including Redrow, Homesphere, WAT-UK, and Natalie Elphicke. by @homebuildersfederation

A platform to connect with new opportunities.

Home builders support around 9,000 apprentices, trainees and graduates every year.

As the industry scales up to meet the country's housing ambitions, career opportunities will only increase.

We want to ensure more women are aware of the roles available to them within home building and supported to explore them.

70% of young people say job protection from #AI is a key motivation for joining the industry.

AI presents opportunities for greater productivity and planning, but most roles remain AI-resistant by their nature.

Just 6% of #construction businesses expect AI adoption to reduce company headcount in the future - compared to 11% of businesses in other industries. by @homebuildersfederation

Supporting the future of home building 👷‍♀️🎓

We’re proud to be part of the @homebuildersfederation’s Partner a College programme, a two-year pilot funded by @citb_uk helping students gain practical experience and build the skills needed for a career in construction.

Through this initiative at Hollinsgate in Burnley, we’re working to open doors for local talent and inspire the next generation of the industry.

At Prospect Homes, we’re passionate about creating opportunities as well as communities 🤝

HAPPY WORLD PLUMBING DAY!

And what better way to celebrate this than talking to the next generations of people starting their careers in construction. Like any sector, it has it's challenges. And often the work we do is under appreciated and undervalued. But honestly? This job made me who I am- it gave me so many skills that I apply to so many different areas of my life every single day. And I just wish more people were given the chance to consider it as a career.

Always keen to encourage folk from marginalised backgrounds and underrepresented groups to get in to this sector because I've also seen first hand how much stronger we get when we have a real mixture of people doing this job.

Thanks to all the groups and people that work hard to make this career path more accessible to more people 💕 Thanks to @homebuildersfederation for organising this, and to everyone who came along.

And shout-out as ever to my local gang @your.home.better who are chipping away at this relentlessly! taken in House Of Parliament, Westminster, London by @homebuildersfederation
