Added a sprinkle of curb appeal 🤩 We made our house look so much more grand by cutting down the trees that were hiding the whole front, tiling the front step, painting and adding new lights and landscaping. It looks like a different house - and I love it! 🖤 by @homesbysahara

Sunday Funday by the pool! 💦 Right after closing on our house, we started the pool, and after about 3 months, it was ready to go! It’s been such a savior during these hottt Florida summer days ☀️ Do you have a pool where you live?? If so, what’s your favorite pool activity?! .

A new DIY with a meaningful message! 🥰 Due to our HOA, we can’t put up lawn signs, but I came up with a clever way to get my message across by creating a wreath sign (that’s what I’m going to call it 🤣) Now all our visitors will know how this house feels! 🙌 Check our my stories for the steps to create this quick and easy DIY .

Living in Florida requires outdoor living ☀️ Being outside is one of my favorite things, so creating a space that tends to that was key! This beautiful dining set by @article was a must since we eat most of our meals outside 🍽 More of the backyard to come, especially the hardest DIY we’ve done to date! But for now I’ll enjoy the view 😎 .

Another guest bedroom complete! 🥰 I decided to do something different in this room, as I’ve been seeing ceiling paint pop up a lot in the past few months. I wanted to keep the room bright and tropical, so I painted the ceiling the most perfect salmon-pink while tying in that color throughout the room. It really does feel like a tropical oasis 🏝💕 Swipe to see the whole room (and my cute guard dogs 😅) Check out my guest bedroom highlight for some guest bedroom tips and tricks! .

The laundry room is finished!! 👏 It honestly felt like I was going to be painting shiplap cracks for the rest of my life, but I made it through 😅 And I absolutely love the color and how it really is a focal wall in the space - color is SW Debonair! Let me know what you think!! ☺️ .

One of the first things I did upon moving in to our home was paint the trim and doors, and switch out all door handles and hinges to matte black 🖤 I love clean white on the walls, but wanted to add some dimension and color to the space. And all the fixtures are now matte black which makes everything cohesive. What a difference this all makes! Paint color is Crushed Ice by @sherwinwilliams and all door handles and hinges are @kwikset from @amazonhome .

The DIY Planter Wall is complete! 🙌 Not bad for under $100 right? I had a large area on a wall in our lanai (or screened-in patio for non-Florida people 😂) that needed something big, yet functional. I filled it with faux herbs from @ikeausa for now, but may plant some real ones or succulents in the near future. Check out my stories for the whole process and @ourfauxfarmhouse for the inspiration! 🤗 .

When building our home, we had the option to put in the standard shower doors (chrome sliding doors). I knew I wanted something different, and always gravitated towards the black paneled shower doors. I found this beautiful door by @dreamlineshower on @wayfair and knew it would go perfectly with the blacks, whites, and natural woods we have throughout the first floor of our home! Once it was delivered, we thought we had to have a contractor install it 🤔 After getting some ridiculous quotes, we decided it couldn’t be that hard to do it ourselves. We got all the necessary supplies, thoroughly read the instructions, and put it up in a few hours! It wasn’t the easiest DIY we’ve ever done, but now we know we can install shower doors 😬 What’s a project that you’ve completed that once you actually did it, it wasn’t THAT bad?! .

I like to classify my style as modern farmhouse. More on the modern side with the blacks and whites, but still farmhousey with the natural woods. It’s neutral, yet inviting and I love how everything ties together ☺️ .
