Electri-Living, Part 2.

This second bathroom was a fun study in making the most of a small space. The word we kept coming back to was “integrated.” How could all the essential elements of a bathroom feel like one cohesive design? This was our solution.

The Electri-Living Home for Tomorrow gets new bathrooms for today.

Taking cues from the existing mahogany cabinetry and millwork, we gave these bathrooms a more cohesive design that compliments the home’s modernist architecture.

Another one with my wife and resident design expert, @lexleeinteriordesign 💡

Shout out to all the artsy mom and dads for raising artsy kids. My pops is an amazing printmaker with two masters in fine arts, and my mom is an incredible ceramicist. They always told me to pursue work that could afford me time to focus on art, rather than making art my full time gig…I didn’t exactly take their advice but I’m grateful for having such great role models. At 45 years of age, I’m also grateful to still have them both in my life. Being able to share my work and passions with them is everything :) by @homesteez

Preserving the character in a mid century home means keeping and restoring original details. This 1950’s Nu-Tone ceiling mounted bathroom heater has just been painstakingly polished back to its original luster and is ready to be re-installed over at our Electri-Living home project. It’s gonna look pretty awesome in the newly renovated bathroom ⚡️ by @homesteez

1970’s Creekside Cabin (📸PART1)

Scope: full exterior and interior renovation.

Besides some big architectural changes to the exterior, new siding , windows, a new deck and pergola plus a fresh electrical plan, the interior was also completely reimagined. We enhanced the layout, designed a new custom oak kitchen, monochromatic bathroom, built new oak closets, added custom oak pocket doors, and thoughtfully added matching oak built ins throughout the home. Being an Airbnb and needing a turn key solution, our client also tasked us with furnishing and styling the interior. Inside you’ll find a mix of vintage art, lighting, and furniture supplemented by some new production pieces. Some notable designers sprinkled throughout are Harry Bertoia, George Nelson, Verner Panton, Giancarlo Frattini, De Sede, Knoll, Herman Miller, Poul Henningsen, Louis Poulsen and Neils Gammelgaard. This Airbnb is currently available to book and you can learn more at @homesteezhotels

The Iconic Barwa Indoor/Outdoor Chaise Lounge Chair. The ergonomics on this chair go hard. The Barwa Chair was introduced in 1947 by designers Edgar Bartolucci and John J. Waldheim. It was developed shortly after World War II and became an early icon of casual postwar American leisure furniture. Shown upright, simply lean back to unlock the reclined position. This example is in near mint condition and it’s available now for only $650 (still in production, new ones retail for $1500) by @homesteez
