I was super excited to be invited by @meta and @instagram to attend the Instagram Screen Smart event in Sacramento, and as a mom of two teens, one thing I appreciated most was learning how much focus is being placed on creating safer, more age appropriate experiences online 💛📱Instagram’s Teen Accounts now include built in protections that help limit unwanted contact, filter sensitive content, and give parents more insight into what their teens are seeing, all while still allowing teens to connect, explore interests, and express themselves safely. I said yes to a #SelfCareSunday with @experienceseramor Retreat @sawyerhotel , and it ended up being so much more than a getaway. I almost talked myself out of this because… I can’t swim. 😅But I’ve promised myself something this year: if it scares me (and it’s reasonably safe), I’m probably going to do it.So I grabbed the paddle board, took a deep breath, put on my life jacket, and got out on the water.Was I nervous? Okay but WHY did nobody tell me about this place?! 😍We booked a cabin at @cougarlane and immediately wished we had stayed longer. You get the cozy cabin vibes, gorgeous river views, a restaurant and bar on site, a cute little market, plus lodge rooms and RV spots if you’re road tripping.As a mom who loves finding places the whole family enjoys, this was one of those rare spots where everyone slowed down, put their phones away, and just soaked it all in.
