The trend made me do it. 🤍

But really — of all the things I could say about the career I’ve built over the last 11 years, I think this might be the one I’m most proud of.

Real estate is obviously about houses, contracts, negotiations and numbers. But behind every one of those is a person (or a family) making a really big life decision — and I’ve never taken it lightly that people trust me to be the one beside them through it.

Reading words like these from my clients means more to me than any sales number or award ever could. I want the people I work with to feel cared for, informed, advocated for and like they have someone genuinely in their corner from beginning to end.

Kinda chic that I get to call that my job! 🥰🏡

What a difference ONE week and the right plan can make! 👏🏻

When I met with this seller, he was overwhelmed by everything his home needed before selling and wanted to sell fast. So we put together a plan, he trusted us to take the lead, and my team got to work!

In just one week, we handled everything from clearing out the property and making minor repairs to painting, deep cleaning, staging, and professional photography. All for under $10K.

My original estimate for selling the home as-is was somewhere around 160K. Instead, we sold for OVER $200K, ALL CASH, with no inspections and a two-week closing!

And my seller didn’t have to spend his week managing contractors or coordinating all the moving pieces. We handled it for him.

This is why I believe so strongly in preparing a home with purpose. It’s not about spending the most money. It’s about knowing where to invest, having the right people in place, and creating a strategy around each seller’s goals.

Who you work with matters. And so much of the value of a good Realtor happens long before a home ever hits the market.

A pretty special closing this week! 🤍🏡

This week, I had the privilege of closing on the highest-priced home of my real estate career and this one was extra special for so many reasons.

First and foremost, the sellers are truly wonderful people, and I couldn’t be more grateful that they trusted me to represent them. The home itself was a beautiful custom build by @tenoakshomes, one of my absolute favorite local builders (and who we hope to use if we ever build our own home in Maryland!), located in one of my favorite communities in Fallston.

What made this sale particularly meaningful was the approach. My clients chose to sell their home off market, and my role was to create a strategy around their priorities while protecting their interests every step of the way.

From advising and negotiating on their behalf to managing the details behind the scenes and keeping everything moving toward closing, the goal was always the same: to make the experience as smooth and successful as possible.

Every home, every seller, and every situation is different. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to real estate, and I truly believe some of the most important work happens long before a home sells and behind the scenes throughout the process.

I’m so proud to have been part of this one and even more excited for my clients as they close this chapter and begin their next.

This weekend Tessa and I weathered the storm to finally try the new @slicendysonsmokedmeats spot in Parkville — and it did not disappoint! 🙌🏻

Did I order entirely too much food? Absolutely. 🤣 But I wanted to try all the things, and now we have leftovers for the week, so I’m calling it a win.

What we tried: turkey sandwich, brisket, beef dino rib, burnt ends, mac & cheese + the sweet potato.

What I’d order again: turkey, brisket, burnt ends + mac & cheese. And I already have the pulled pork + chicken on my list for next time because yes, we will definitely be back!

Great work, gentlemen! Such a fun addition to Baltimore County — amazing flavor, good vibes + I love that you’re sourcing your meat locally. And the fact that there’s a Boardwalk Fries AND snowball spot right next door? Even better. 👏🏻

It’s officially been a month since I plugged back into real estate after maternity leave 🤍

I’m currently working with two sellers preparing to hit the market later this month + several buyers looking in different areas. After being back in it and catching up with some very busy colleagues, here’s my quick take on the market:

We’re seeing a pretty typical end-of-summer slowdown. Buyers are still buying and homes are still selling, but back-to-school season + the last weeks of summer naturally pull some attention away from real estate. Furthermore, some sellers are still pricing based on the hotter spring market — or what they hoped to get in a multiple-offer situation — while today’s buyers are being more selective. This is causing an increase in average days on market and more leverage for current buyers.

The sellers having the most success right now are the ones who prepare well, price thoughtfully, and make their home feel like a great value compared to the competition. These factors are even more important in slower and more stable markets. Right now, that may mean pricing a little more conservatively than the highest sales we saw in the neighborhood this Spring.

I expect activity to pick back up a bit as everyone settles into fall, but strategy matters even more as we head into cooler weather and the holidays.
