Doom scrolling to avoid doing the dishes again?

It’s okay. We’ve all been there.

Over 80% of working moms say they’re burnt out and wish they had more support at home.

And the women who look like they have it all together?

They’re not doing it all. They just stopped doing it alone.

The first step to getting real support isn’t just hiring someone. It’s knowing how to ask for the help you truly need.

The Home Handoff is a step-by-step system to get every to-do out of your head and into a handbook you can hand to someone else — so the work is permanently off your plate. Not just delegated. Gone. by @homewithvera

Travel as often as you can, but don’t sleep on making your home the destination you actually want to come back to

This is why house managers have such a big impact on the families they work with. They don’t just clean or organize or help with chores. They create a calm environment that lets families actually enjoy being home together more 💕

What would you do with an extra 5 hours this week?

A. Nap
B. Spend time with kids
C. Find an actual hobby
D. Date night with spouse
E. Work on a side hustle

This is what having a house manager is really about ^ getting your time back to do the things you actually want to do.

The mental load isn’t one big task. It’s a hundred tiny ones you’re tracking without anyone noticing—including yourself.

Restocking paper towels sounds like nothing. But it’s noticing, remembering, deciding, buying, hauling, unwrapping, putting away, and refilling. Multiply that by every consumable in your house and you start to see why you’re tired in a way that’s hard to explain.
None of it is small. It’s just invisible—until it isn’t done.

This is the work Vera was built to see. What’s the “small” task you carry that never actually feels small? 👇

Turns out my dream job is CEO of my own house 😂

I love a clean house, a stocked fridge, dinner planned, and a home that runs on a system — I just don’t love being the entire system. That’s the invisible mental load nobody puts on a résumé, and exactly why Vera Home exists. Let something else hold it together for once. 🧺

I used to think a rich life meant a bigger budget.

More house, nicer car, the kind of stuff that shows up well in photos. Lately I’ve been thinking about it differently.

My version of rich looks like a Saturday with nothing on the calendar except what I actually want to do. It looks like clean floors I didn’t have to clean myself, dinner that’s already planned, and a fun afternoon with my kids instead of another errand run.

The mental load of planning a week is impossible if you wait until the last minute, when you’re tired, stressed, running late, or just had a bad day.

1. Sunday reset. I plan everything for the week once a weekend, from the couch, with a cup of coffee. (Yes, I romanticize it to make it more enjoyable.)

2. Meal planning and groceries. Deciding what we eat, when we cook, and who’s cleaning up ahead of time means anyone can execute the plan: our house manager, my husband, or zombie-me after a long day.

3. Kid and daycare logistics. What needs to be packed for splash pad day, whether we need more diapers, any dress up days at daycare to plan for.

4. Priority chores and projects. I list these out for my house manager to handle that week.

5. One shared calendar. Meals, reminders, everything goes in the family calendar, so there’s only one place to check.

6. The fun stuff too. This is the whole point of freeing up time and energy. An open afternoon might mean a coffee run with a friend. A light day for both of us might mean picking our daughter up early for the playground (or lately Barnes and Noble, since it’s too hot to be outside 😅)

And with the systems I have for most of these, it takes me less than an hour and frees up my brain to focus on being present during the week

Every one of these is small on its own.

But stacked together, they run my house on autopilot so my brain and my time go toward the stuff I actually want to do, not just toward keeping things from falling apart.

That’s the whole philosophy: I only do what only I can do. Everything else gets a system or gets delegated.
systemize the boring, protect the fun. that’s it, that’s the account.

which one of these are you stealing? tell me below 👇
