reflecting on my time

the shine, fire, desire you see
i am raw
i am real
i am all that i feel
not part
not some
not just what you need of me
a daughter, a women, a mother, a dream
a love letter to all that has made me she

Healing while dreaming, living and breathing!

He ara hou, he ara nui, he ara motuhake.
Ka noho au ki raro i te korowai whakaiti.

I’m humbled to be able to serve our wāhine and tamariki who carry a mamae that was never meant for them.

I hope they can see the light in my smile and know that together, we can tuku i te mamae, without judgement, just aroha and a clearer path forward.

I see them, I feel them, I am them 💞 by @honestlyaroha

I believe in me. In my lowest times, I dreamed of she. I reflect on my past, often in moments of grief. The times where I pushed through when all I wanted was to leave. I’ve been given a place, to breathe, to see. To see that I can heal the deeper parts of me. The parts I buried so I could continue to dream. I see myself in them, our rangatahi. The feelings they carry and struggle to feel. Searching for themselves in a system that kills dreams, I’ll help them breathe, I’ll help them see. See they can feel and still continue to dream. by @honestlyaroha
