Oliver Tree, I saw you perform live many times, even got a concussion at your show in NYC during Tommy Cash’s set, saw you with your record breaking guitar at Firefly Festival, and I thoroughly appreciated your commitment to your art. You lived your life to the fullest, and for that I will always be inspired. Your cancer stellium in your natal chart always baffled me. Thank you for the impact, & rest in peace Oliver Tree. INSOMNIAC BY HONEYBREE LIVE AT THE ASBURY HOTEL PRIDE POOL PARTY PRESENTED BY @blacklipsticknj 6/7/2026 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️#jerseypride #queerart #nonbinarypride #upcomingartist #singersongwriter Video recorded by @alexisorfanart One year ago I played my first solo set at Happy Mondays at the Wonderbar with black lipstick in celebration of Jersey Pride, and this weekend I was able to close out a sold out show with my songs and my keyboard. Last year, I was concussed and recovering from physical injuries after a bus hit me, and today I still struggle with the PTSD mentally and physically causing extra battles when trying to sing or play music. But I was blessed with the audacity, I don’t let this prevent me from trying to carry on with my plans. This year, I have already won. Every version of my past self is cheering for me to keep going, so I do as I must. To choose to live in your deepest desires is not an option for me, it is simply life or death, as the universe has rudely shown me first hand. ANYWAY! As a society we can stress about quantified success, here are some of mine that I have forgotten to celebrate due to the tricky nature of trauma having the tendency to overshadow the brilliance and vivid joys of our lives: 1. My song “Insomniac” won 2nd place for jazz composition in the @americansongwriter competition 2025 during the 1 year anniversary of releasing it! 2. My video submission for the Vocal Jazz Summit landed me as a runner up to the finalists!3. My first music video, for “FINE,” turned 1 year old! 4. More than half of ALL the shows I have played in 2025/2026 have been SOLD OUT 5. I have made so many amazing and insightful friendships with truly wonderful people, irl and online, and reconnected with many people that I look forward to building stronger musical relationships with. 6. We are getting back in the studio this year to finish the projects that you’ve loved loudly (MARS & BLOOM,) and also never heard before!! (Aside from my sister) Love u all so much and thank you for finding joy in art!! by @honeybreeworld
