The older I get, the more I understand that gratitude isn’t just about thanking God for the blessings I can see. It’s about trusting Him for the things I don’t yet understand.

Every season hasn’t been easy, every prayer hasn’t been answered the way I hoped, and every path hasn’t been the one I would have chosen. But through it all, God’s grace has never left me.

I’m learning to be grateful for what was, what is, and what is yet to come. For the doors He opened, the ones He closed, and the ones I now understand were never meant for me.

Grace has carried me. Gratitude keeps me grounded. And faith reminds me that God is still writing my story.

Girls in Honey Shine, Overtown Youth Center’s all-girls mentoring program, received 200 high-end goods, including purses, from Rita Case of Rick Case Automotive Group and Soles4Souls.

Last week we celebrated @honeyshineinc at our annual Hats Off Luncheon, and my heart is still so full. For more than 20 years, this event has brought together an incredible community in support of Honey Bugs, and each year it continues to get even better. ✨

Six years ago on April 20th, I didn’t think I would make it six seconds after my mommy transitioned.

Grief will tell you to stop.
But God will remind you to keep going.

I am living proof of that.

My mother used to say, “Don’t look back… you’ll only get dust in your eyes.”
And still, there are moments—like right now—when I glance back, and the dust comes.
My eyes fill. My heart remembers.

But even in the tears, there is truth.

As much as I miss her…
I am even more grateful that she was mine.

Not everyone gets a love like that.
Not everyone gets a woman who leaves that kind of imprint on your soul.

So today, I honor her.
I carry her.
And I keep going—just like she taught me.

Because her voice didn’t leave…
