My oldest just turned 12 recently … she helped me finish this piece by inking the background with me. She watched me do the first section and said “oh Mom, can I do some - that looks super satisfying ….” 🥰😍😜 WHY YES OF COURSE!

I can’t help but notice how similarly we hold the paper, brush and share a love of painting. ❤️🧡💛❤️‍🔥 #grateful #love #daughters #painting #watercolor taken in Kansas City, Missouri by @honeypressstudio

@honeypressstudio is where I share my love of art, color and the natural world through original paintings, fine art prints, greeting cards, and thoughtfully designed home goods.Nature has always been a source of wonder, inspiration, and grounding in my life. Through my work, I hope to capture that sense of awe and invite others to slow down, notice the beauty around them, and feel a little more connected.

Painting is a meditative process for me. I love watching pigment and water move together, allowing each piece to unfold organically. Both art and nature have the power to heal, inspire, and remind us that we are all deeply connected—and it’s my hope that every piece I create carries a bit of that feeling into your home.” — Rachel Allen

The Faqqu’a Iris (Iris haynei) or “royal iris” is the national flower of Palestine. 💜 🇵🇸 This beautiful and rare flower is known as a symbol of resilience to the Palestinian people because of its ability to thrive in the rocky limestone mountains of the northern West Bank.

This is just a painting, nothing revolutionary, but I hope it can be a small reminder of hope, beauty and resilience in our darkest and most hopeless moments.
