my trip to @thirdspacereadingroom felt like stepping into my granny’s house. d’angelo was playing through the radio, the air smelled like sweet incense, and every corner carried black culture — from the “degentrify the hood” stickers to the body butters to the shelves filled with black consciousness across the diaspora: queer stories, romance, fantasy, and everything in between.💕

i grabbed my copy of @brandy memoir phases and couldn’t wait to crack it open in university circle 🐝

hi honeys, so i finally got a chance to visit @visiblevoicebooks’ new location in ohio city, and it’s to die for 🥺

this month, i’m actively trying to find physical copies of books i have on my kindle, as well as discounted books that are on my wishlist… and @visiblevoicebooks was the perfect first stop on my little book tour 🍯

my absolute favorite character from this book rec is lily greene written in @kristinaforest_ novel “The Neighbor Favor” 🥹

she is me and i am her

from her dynamic with her sisters to the way she questions herself in her career, yet still finds a way to be her own biggest cheerleader… i felt all of it💕

and her love story with nick? a guidebook on vulnerability and allowing yourself to be open to love however it shows up… even if it’s your reclusive, bookish neighbor who’s been right next door all along 🐝📚

@kristinaforest_ you are everything, thank you for writing a love story for the shy book girlies 💕
