On International Zouk Day, dancers around the world learn and perform the same choreography. In fact, Kimi, who co-taught this year's choreography, first found us through watching a Honolulu Zouk performance, so.it was especially meaningful for us to see her direct some more dancers through their first ever zouk performance! Thank you so much for everyone who came out to our Honolulu Zouk 1st and 3rd Saturday to watch this group. Thank you to Christina for working the door, to Brad & Kimberly for the wonderful lesson, to Lynn for helping with set-up and break down, and to everyone else who helped out in ways big and small. Thank you for bringing your friends, for supporting each other, and for cheering so loud! Thank you to the dancers @leilanimotet , Kimi, @geni007loo , @missjennayree , @my_ria , , @babyboydoshi , @mikories , @kostichs , @kimberly.lovelove for all their hard work learning and practicing the choreography, and especially for making it so fun! It's the most fun ive had doing a choreography in a long time, amd maybe the easiest overall experience! Special thanks to @michelcrosmedia for the incredible videography from this social! And, as always, thank you to @paradisetamgo for being our home for years and years. Want to see us perform? Catch us at: Bachata lover's Tuesday September 29th Fuego Friday October 2nd Salsamore Thursday October 8th Choreography: Alisson Sandi & Maggie Zieba Music: Baile Involvidable by @kakah taken in Paradise Tango by @honoluluzouk

Hosted by our long-term favorite Mahina and our new favorite, Steven, this is must-attend for you bachateres! MONDAY 7-10 Enchantment with Kimberly and Vea @Paradise Tango. Special topic: rope/dance fusion. Participants will play with tension, intention, release, and the visible and invisible connections that bind us together as pathways for listening. This blends improvisational dance, consent, sensation, and rope. This is a clothed, nonsexual container centered on curiosity, connection, and everyone’s agency staying alive. Sliding scale $15-$25. 7-10 JnJ training with Brad & Jacquelyn at Hawaii Dance Bomb (Kaimuki Studio). 90 minutes of focused training on the foundations of zouk as they apply to JnJ and 90 minutes of social. $20. TUESDAY SERIES CLASSES--DROP INS AVAILABLE WITH TEACHER APPROVAL Level 3: Brad & Kimberly are developing combinations of footwork and head movements--balanso to piaos with head movement with different speeds and synchronizations, bonecas, desprezadas and other more intermediate movements. This is week 3, so students with significant experience with zouk head movement and patterns may still drop in with teacher approval. 630pm Level 2: Brad & Kimi. Want to level up your social dancing before Hawaii Zouk Wave? in this session dancers move beyond patterns--they are exploring different variations and pathways to understand: is it this or that? Last week students explored side motion--is it a sway? is it a bate cabello? is it a turn? is it a side basic? is it a one-footed spin? Follo by @honoluluzouk
