These past couple of months have been hectic emotionally, physically, and mentally. I was in a place of not wanting to continue my purpose from God. I wanted to hide out and not be seen ( I kind of did that), only wanting to talk to myself, God and not have any human interaction.

When one thing after another happened, I asked God why me? Wasn’t I doing everything right? Wasn’t I treating people with the kind heart you gave me? He told me what I wasn’t doing enough of; and that was being obedient. June I stepped into my milestone chapter of 35 and felt like I haven’t made any progress or reached where I thought I should have been in life. After everything that had transpired since my birthday up until this moment it took me to a place of uncertainty, depression and losing myself. My anxiety had risen and I beat myself up about A LOT.

I put my tears in a bottle, cried out to God, prayed about it and focused on getting myself back together.
✨
My dear friend @quierraluck texted me a week before the Grammys and said “My Love…GRAMMYS”. In that moment she didn’t know how this made this feel & what I had just gone through, so in that moment I knew what to do.
✨
I GOT TO WORK.
✨
I did not have much time to get the “perfect” look but I knew I would find something she would be pleased with. I’m getting better & better.

Second awards show down, and A MILLION MORE TO GO.

This last quarter, I’m making a promise to myself: I’m going to show up for me a little more. I’m my own worst critic. I’m hard on myself And honestly, I’m learning that I need to give myself more grace.

There were so many times I wanted to post. Create. Share. Show up. But I simply couldn’t. And instead of beating myself up about it, I’m learning to understand that sometimes you just need a moment.

Then I started posting again… and that first video hit 10K likes. 🥹

I literally cried.

Not just because of the views, but because I knew what it took for me to press “post.” I knew how many times I talked myself out of creating. How many times I questioned. How many times fear made me hesitate.

So here’s to the last quarter.
More showing up.
More creating.
More trusting myself.
Less fear.
Less overthinking.
More grace.

Hours away from one of the biggest events, I’m reflecting on a few past red carpet looks. ✨

I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity I’ve had to style for the red carpet. Each experience has been a reminder that hard work, passion, and purpose can open doors you once only dreamed of.

I’ve also learned that taking a break isn’t the same as giving up. Sometimes, it’s about giving yourself the space to grow, sharpen your skills, and come back even better at what you do. Proud of myself for pushing forward despite the road blocks I faced along the way.

I’m excited to see where this year takes me and what the next steps in my styling career will look like. The journey continues. ✨
