I found @mmmmmike_mcgheeeee this afternoon at the @everettcomicartshow, and bought these two wonderful pieces of original art from him. Thanks, Mike, for the art and the great chat! by @hoochalibre

Chicago = Malort shots. For cousin Maneli. Like a goddamned champ. by @hoochalibre

with @soundr5 for last night's Pride Night at the Iran v Egypt group stage Men's FIFA World Cup match in Seattle. by @hoochalibre

Here's a recent commission from the wonderful @chrissamnee: Peter B. Parker and Mayday Parker from Across The Spider-Verse. With the lost sock and "DAD" house slipper, Chris nailed the whimsy I'd hoped for with these two web-slingers. His drawing style fits the concept so wonderfully well.

Many thanks to Chris and Laura for this addition to my collection. It was an easy and flawless experience from ordering and scheduling, to completion and shipping. They've set a high bar for future commissions from other wish-list creators. by @hoochalibre

My friends are wonderfully thoughtful, and I love them so much.

Though this is like the 3rd or 4th cigar box that I've been sent. I'm maybe starting to worry they have a secret cigar-smoking habit. 😅 by @hoochalibre

While volunteering yesterday I caught the KEXP Live Room light wall with an animation other than blinking lights for the first time. I had to get a video, of course, for the collection before the engineers and production team reset it for an in-studio performance later in the day. by @hoochalibre

The @weddingpresent at Hidden Hall, Seattle on April 24th for a KEXP Insider Series concert. That aging GenX crowd, myself included, doesn't get so rowdy or lively anymore, do we? 😅 by @hoochalibre

New original art for the collection: a wonderfully mischievous interpretation of Absolute Batman by @flopscomics.

This piece was originally offered as a prize in CovrPrice's Black Friday giveaway last year (that I didn't win). And supposedly, according to CovrPrice, this is Flops' first commission piece. I'm not sure if I believe that. (Is that true, Flops?)

When it was offered for sale by the winner, I jumped at it. It's original art. By Flops. Spoofing the most popular character/title in comics right now. What's not to love. by @hoochalibre

I had to grab a quick video of the KEXP Live Room yesterday while the lights were still set to purple from a previous in-studio session. by @hoochalibre

Sometimes getting the first one is the most difficult, requiring the most patience. And then the proverbial floodgates open.

My first copy of the #JeffreyVeregge MoPOP variant for Spectacular Spider-Man #300 took me almost 1.5 years to find. And then they started coming up more frequently.

Last month I added a 2nd copy to my collection. And for a brief time earlier this week I had 3 copies in my possession (pic 2) before #3 was sent on its way as a birthday gift to a friend.

Spidey + the Space Needle + Tahoma + Jeffrey Veregge's Salish Geek art: this might be the book where it'd be impossible for me to have too many copies if given the opportunity to keep buying more. Two more came up for sale online recently, but they both slipped through my fingers. I'll keep looking. by @hoochalibre
