White Sea Bass bite on August 6th! Live squid was the major key. Love-hate relationship with these finicky fish. Limits secured! #Fishing #WhiteSeaBass #SaltwaterFishing #CatchAndRelease #FishingLife #OceanFishing #Angler #ReelsFishing by @hook2cook805

Lesson learned: don't gaff a giant halibut in the mouth! It ripped through and he almost got away. Gotta wait for them to flatten out on the drift. #FishingFail #HalibutFishing #FishingTips #CatchAndRelease #AnglerLife #FishingReels #Oops by @hook2cook805

Pulled in a monster halibut that took a frozen squid! So much fun fighting this beast on the calm water. Moments like these are the best. #FishingLife #HalibutFishing #SaltwaterFishing #ReelsFishing #FishingAdventure #CatchOfTheDay #SuzukiMarine #Outdoors by @hook2cook805

nice take down right after dropping the squid! This was definitely a fun one. We were keeping it kinda quite. this part of the season most boats swarm toward lifted rods, gaffs and excitement. #fishinglife #seabassfishing #boating #fishingreel #catchoftheday #anglers #getoutside #marinelife by @hook2cook805

Thought I could gaff a 44-inch halibut like a lingcod. Big mistake. Jaw ripped, fish ran. Thank goodness for perfect drag and a second chance! #HalibutFishing #FishingFail #CatchAndRelease #FishingAdventure #SaltwaterFishing #ReelsFishing #AnglerLife by @hook2cook805
