We often forget the incredible amount of time, energy, and countless hours that go into creating fly fishing films. I’m sitting in front of the editing timeline right now, looking at all the work Renaud and I put into our latest adventure in Gaspésie. It’s hard work, but every second is worth it.High five to Renaud Furlotte and to all the hardworking videographers out there who help bring these stories to life. At first glance, Japan and Canada feel worlds apart. Different landscapes, different languages, and different ways of life. But the more time we spend here, the more we begin to see the parallels.Both places share a deep connection to nature, strong and defined seasons, and cultures shaped by the land that surrounds them. Merci pour cette belle entrevue dans @lp_lapresse ce matin.Encore une fois, ça me rend fier d’exporter nos racines partout dans le monde tout en voyant que Hooké demeure profondément ancrée ici, au Québec et au Canada, un territoire encore sauvage où il reste tant d’endroits à l’état pur.Merci à toute mon équipe, et à mon associé, Mathieu Vézina, qui me suit dans cette aventure depuis le tout début. Jour après jour, le chemin devient parfois plus complexe, mais nous trouvons toujours une façon d’avancer ensemble pour continuer à suivre cette passion qui m’anime : raconter nos territoires, partager leur beauté et inspirer les gens à mieux les connaître afin de mieux les protéger.Merci également à tous ceux qui nous encouragent, nous font confiance et choisissent Hooké. C’est grâce à vous que cette aventure continue de grandir.Je continue de croire qu’ensemble, nous pouvons faire une différence, un petit pas à la fois. It’s hard to stand in its current without thinking of Joe Brooks and the pioneering anglers who first introduced this legendary river to the fly-fishing world. Decades later, it still feels intact—the same crystal-clear water, the same wild trout, and the same sense of adventure that captivated those early explorers.
