According to Tim, the new Habitat Reef modules as part of the Rubble To Reef Project are starting to reap benefits for anglers.

Primarily serving as fish habitats, the HR modules provide refuge habitat for both small and large-bodied marine species through the provision of refuge holes and a cave compartment at the base of the structure.

Judging by these pics from Tim, they're doing their job!

Home to the Mackay region’s legendary big barra, Kinchant has long been one of Australia’s premier freshwater fishing destinations. And with the recent Habitat Enhancement Project adding 194 fish-attracting structures across 36 new angling hotspots, there’s never been a better time to wet a line.
