Today we are cutting out the transmission tunnel. Making room for the transmission. Change of plans…. We are having to deal with some different linkage… we are returning the 10r80 and going with a 2017 6r80…. This will allow us to utilize the linkage and allow for better drift and auto cross… we’ll be able to rap out the gears more instead of blowing thru them. #6r80 #engineswap #ford #brz #gt86 by @hooligan_brz

Round 2 for bodywork. Full overhaul in progress. Motor mounts are being designed and fabricated the next couple days. You can see the drivers side mock up. Also we prepped the 10r80 for install… have to modify the oil cooler etc. All good tho we have a plan🤙🏻 we’re taking a lot into consideration right now on every turn, of course this is a 1 of 1 swap. Alot of work done today. We need to customize the rack & pinion, add a new K member, customize the steering… amongst others! And yeah obviously a wild hood scoop 😅 but.. good day. Day 1- started the day off with getting the car on ramps, then I recut the front and rear fenders for more clearance. Then I removed the front end and started unhooking and labeling everything. At the end of the day we were able to pull the motor and transmission! Not bad for the first official day of the swap! #motorswap #brz #transmission #garage #subaru by @hooligan_brz
