Some of the best work in this city started right here in Kreuzberg.

In Studio Visits, we sit down with current and former VELT members who've turned their vision into something real.
Up next: 3D artist and designer @hoon4h, who builds entire worlds out of feeling -dreamy, sculptural landscapes where the unseen gets a shape, a texture, a light to live in. Endlessly grateful to call him part of the VELT family. by @hoon4h

IN CASE I FORGET - Development
.
Working on a project like this film is an almost therapeutic experience that helps me to sort my inner self.
Each shot shows places, memories and feelings I’m carrying with me.

Rather than working systematically, I began without a fixed outcome in mind. I reworked several shots over and over again. That brought them to the core of what I wanted to express and a common visual language slowly emerged. I then reshaped the material, to give it a closed form in this film.

Head over to my website to watch the film in its original version, link in bio ✨ taken in Neukölln, Berlin, Germany by @hoon4h

IN CASE I FORGET

Today I’m sharing a new (very) short film that I made during the last couple of months.

A small, quiet piece that grew out of the process of letting go a place I once called home. The film lives in an emotional space between longing and gratitude, between holding on and letting go. It’s about the traces being left in us, even after we’ve moved on.

Watch the original version in Cinemascope on my website. Link in bio
