I've been tired of making photos for years, and one of my goals for 2026 was to make more physical art/crafts that don't just go on social media to die in hopes of feeling excited to make.

I've already gotten started!! thanks to the county employee art show with @vibewellvc, my first ever fabric cyanotypes (printed with MUCH trial and error in my bathtub) of Butter are hanging in the Ventura Government Center through March 24th!! I also used a sewing machine (poorly) for the first time, another longtime goal.

Aside from this project, I turned 30 and it feels younger, softer, and stronger than ever. I've been making small, consistent choices lately that feel good, even when things are heavy. all with Butter, my friends, and family by my side.

sometimes, it really is just a blue photo of your dog. 💙 if anyone wants a "misprint" butter let me know! by @hoop.deloop

two years of 🧈

Today is two years to the day since I officially adopted butter (but she was my foster for two months before that!) I won't make yall sit through the whole tale but at one point a former owner said this little dog should be euthanized for 🦈 behavior, and she sat in a kennel struggling from Dec 2022 - March 2023 😭 Now she has dog & people friends (although she still doesn't fuck with strangers lol) goes on road trips, loves the beach, and is still working on her reactivity and obedience.

She is my best friend, my biggest stressor, and my proudest accomplishment.

i love you miss butter! by @hoop.deloop
