Aka Danielle Lee aka Danielle with the good cheese iykyk 😂
This super star human has been a pillar in the hoop community for as long as we can remember. She’s a phenomenal teacher, her smile lights up every room she’s in and she’s been a part of our #HAHR family for years, as an attendee and as an instructor. We honored to welcome her back at #HAHR2026 in Colorado 🏔️🫶🏼

Bio:
Danielle Lee hails from Madison, Wisconsin and began hooping in 2004, and started teaching hoop dance in 2008. Since then, she has taught regularly in Madison as well as regionally and internationally. Her charisma and positivity have been the keystone for today’s thriving Madison hoop community. She is a founding member of the Madison Circus Space, a 24/7 circus arts facility and nonprofit, where she serves on their board of directors. She is also the creator of the Cheeselandia Hoop Affair, @cheeselandia_hoop_affair a convention for people who love hooping that takes place at Madison Circus Space in February. Danielle is a professional hooper and certified instructor and lives to teach classes, lead events, perform, and do everything possible to share the transformational joy of hooping.

Dreamy choreo from our final Continuing Hoop Dance class! Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out a choreo, but this one just flowed right out of me. I’m just so incredibly grateful to everyone who joined, you all did an amazing job embracing this lovely headspace and all of these moves! Joyful Moves and Grooves with @hoopelation 💕

If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Danielle, you already know her energy is absolutely contagious. Her positivity, joy, and playful spirit naturally light up every space she steps into ✨

This fun group choreography class had huge smiles across every face from start to finish. Danielle broke down each section so clearly and made it easy for everyone to follow along, creating a space where people could feel comfortable, present, and simply enjoy moving together.

There’s something really special about dancing in unison as a group, another beautiful way to connect, laugh together, and share energy through movement 💖

Jump through Breakthroughs with @hoopelation 💕

This class was such a blast and truly accessible for every level of hooper ✨
Danielle has an incredible way of breaking down tricks so they feel approachable and easy to understand, while still offering creative challenges for more advanced hoopers to explore.

We learned so many fun ways to add jumps, flair, and dynamic movement into our flow, plus those extra little performance details that bring so much personality and pizazz to the stage 💫

One of those classes where everyone walked away feeling inspired, accomplished, and excited to keep playing.

Ohhhhhh @oasishoopretreat 🥹 I could not have asked for a more lovely experience! First of all, @hooptrip is an outstanding organizer and facilitator, so it was so easy to relax and enjoy all the amazing offerings. @guapoh13 was an incredible co-facilitator and I felt like I got to be my best self around his effervescent high vibes! It was absolutely an honor and a pleasure to be part of such an epic teaching team: @abigailspindsey @kassflows @vanloop and @ccabraloka I learned so much from y’all! And what a joy it was to share my jump throughs class and my Good Life choreo with everyone (you all did so fantastic)! But my favorite part was just spending time and connecting with everyone in real life in the most beautiful place ever ✨ I’m still mentally unpacking and integrating, but all I’m going to say right now is y’all definitely need to add @oasishoopretreat to the list of experiences to have in your life. Hiking/hooping adventure to Cahuita National Park! When I signed in at the park office, I was the only the fourth person in that morning. And I passed everyone else in the first 15 minutes. Which meant that I had three hours of glorious solitude… to hike, read my book, watch the palm shadows on the sand and listen to the waves, hoop, and also chase off one raccoon 😅 Really could not have asked for a better day! However I know it’s going to be even more awesome soon, because everyone is just about to get here for @oasishoopretreat 🌴‼️ taken in Cahuita National Park by @hoopelation
