Mixed ability hoop planning this weekend - twisty twisty goodness! It’s all about taking those beginner moves and making the transitions smoooooth. Also a good way to train up spin tolerance.

It’s been a wee while since I subjected myself to @elhperformance form of torture/self improvement.

Whilst it’s always exciting to showcase the crazy strong exercises you can whack out, its important to pay attention to smaller areas of focus which ultimately help you build solid foundations.

My wrists have been a struggle for me since I ripped a tendon in 2020 - as a zoo keeper working during COVID I didn’t get it seen to, and carried on lugging 20l buckets around and damaged both of them by over-compensating one side and not doing proper rehab on the ripped tendon. So now, I’m playing catch up, and doing it right.

This was a complete freestyle one-shot video for next weeks flow, and as you can probably tell, I had a great time! Very amateur line dancing to start us off, hats and clean boots welcomed and encouraged 🤠

It could only be Dolly for flow next week, one of the few true not-for-profit musicians. Never stop being kind to each other folks ✨

Practicing some shapes from @stuck_on_the_moon_circus to translate into some low flow transitions 🤩

I’m always open to saying I’m not a tricks-based aerialist, in fact I much prefer life on the floor now so can I truly call myself that 😂 what is really nice though is I feel like I’m starting to develop a niche style of hoop and movement, and I can’t wait to see how it expands. by @hooping_halfling

Having a cathartic mess around with my new fav low flow hoop yesterday before class. Taking floorwork combo taught by @chlo.thepolecoven to see where I could translate them. New low flow transitions pending 👀

Reliving my angsty youth with a My Chemical Romance choreo tonight. It’s amazing what you can do with a hoop flow without actually using any tricks 👀 everyone absolutely smashed it making it their own.

It was Grounded Hoop joy for our beginners this week at @thepolecoven.portsmouth - there was so many giggles, much joy, and (rare for me), loads of spinning!

Those of you who know me well know I much prefer the floor to the sky. Grounded and low flow hoop is where I’m the happiest Halfling 🥰

As an aside, Tom Bombadil needs to be my next routine I think 👀😏 by @hooping_halfling

Choreo planning for next week and buzzing to bring out the bard persona again!

You know me, I love a cheeky bit of character embodiment. So next week, we are going to channel our favourite Witcher companion Jaskier for this short and cheeky wee number.
