Phew! What a week! Thank you so much for all your donations and sharing - we’re at $2500 - 1/3 of the way to the first goal for radiation. We’ve also spent the week being vetted by @gofundme - we are legit as can be, and even have an accounted reviewing (updates are on the GFE as well). Thanks for a great referral from @outtathecage Trajan has his appointment tomorrow morning @vetcancergroup . This way there’s more options to explore for radiation treatment (as well as a better understanding of the cancer), and can work on a palliative plan. Trajan is eating but becoming very picky, any food ideas greatly suggested. I also got him some functional mushroom treats from @theboxer.canineprovisions , so look forward to adding that to his food. 🩵Welcome SABRINA ID #A846150 to The Last Chance Ranch, LCR Family, you are officially SAFE sweetheart!🐾🐶

Mama Sabrina came to the shelter as a stray with 12 nursing puppies. This sweet little medium pitty mix barely 2 years old lovingly nursed and raised her 12 puppies in this hostile shelter environment. Once ready for adoption her puppies were separated from her and she became euth. listed for space! 😡

She got along great with other dogs so she shared her kennel with two other mothers of a similar fate, leaving one by one until she was left alone unknowingly waiting to die. Despite being a little scared, timid and unsure she still remained hopeful, excited and happy to see people, always wiggling and seeking their affection.

She watched and waited nearly 100 days for her turn. Today was her day! Today we said yes because we can, because we want to, because this sweet gentle girl is most deserving of her second chance! Because no mother left behind. We learned of Sabrinas story and there was no way we could let this precious mama die. She deserves the world and we are honored and thrilled to see what life has in store for her! 🤍 Her new life is off to an amazing start; Sabrina is with a loving, kind experienced foster in Arizona, her true guardian angel, who we can’t be more grateful for!

Thank you to everyone that pledged, networked, shared and believed in Sabrina, you truly helped save this precious mamas life!

Maya was rescued from the shelter in Los Angeles in August 2025 after she found herself on the euthanasia list for kennel stress

This sweet little girl was picked up by LAPD, abandoned in a homeless encampment and brought to the shelter. Luckily, she was seen and saved, but has since bounced around foster homes and boarding. This girl is ready for her forever home!

Initially, she can be cautious around new people, but once she’s comfortable, she’s extremely sweet and loving 💖 Her favorite thing is climbing into your lap for love and affection.

She’s the perfect mix of energy and chill, she loves to go on walks and play with her toys, but then will happily lay on the couch with you for the rest of the day. She also loves water and will jump and play in it if she sees it!

She’s potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on the leash. She’s playful with other confident social dogs

Sweet Fiona is at Palmdale Animal Shelter and is already well beyond her 72-hour notice. She has now developed a URI (upper respiratory infection) and is in quarantine. 💔
🙏 WE ONLY NEED A TEMPORARY FOSTER FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS TO GIVE THIS SWEET GIRL A CHANCE!
Because Fiona has a URI, the foster home must not have any other dogs. She is only 2 years old and 31.8 lbs, so she doesn’t need a huge amount of space — just a safe, quiet place where she can recover.

Meet Flower 🌸 — a gorgeous 2-year-old Belgian Malinois/Siberian Husky mix weighing 48 lbs. And just look at those eyes! 💙🤎 One blue, one brown — she’s truly one of a kind!

Flower is a cuddly, silly, outgoing, active, and incredibly intelligent girl. She loves hiking, camping, car rides, playing with her ball, and curling up on the sofa with her people to watch TV. ❤️
She is crate and house trained.

Her current fosters are joining the Air Force, so we have just ONE WEEK to find Flower a new foster or foster-to-adopt home. 🙏

Flower thrives with structure, continued training, and plenty of physical and mental exercise. Her current fosters have worked hard with her, and she has come such a long way! She needs someone who will continue building on that progress.

• An active family who enjoys hiking, camping, and outdoor adventures
• A securely fenced yard — Flower is athletic and can jump!
• Either as the only dog or with a compatible, confident dog

Thank you to everyone who shared our previous plea! BELLA now just needs a two-week foster (9/1- 9/15). Formerly known as Pearl from the South LA shelter, Bella was saved from euthanasia by @hope4sweethomes and immediately taken to the veterinary hospital to address notable skin and ear infections. After a long stay at the hospital, Bella has been enjoying all the loving comforts of a foster home. Her skin cultures came back and she’s now on the right antibiotics. The rescue reports that Bella is the sweetest and easiest dog. She likes other dogs and has tolerated her current foster’s cat but the rescue would like Bella in foster placement without other animals to minimize unnecessary contact to her skin while she continues to heal. Her care is pretty simple - oral meds, hand wipes and ointment to her skin (twice a day).

Bella is extremely affectionate and loving. She is crate trained and well mannered. The rescue provides all supplies and support. Bella just needs your home for two weeks. Can anyone help sweet BELLA just until 9/15? Formerly known as Pearl from the South LA shelter, Bella was saved from euthanasia by @hope4sweethomes and immediately taken to the veterinary hospital to address notable skin and ear infections. After a long stay at the hospital, Bella was cleared for foster care and has been enjoying all the loving comforts of a foster home, which included a feline housemate. Her foster reports that Bella has been easy to care for and is one of the sweetest dogs. In foster, Bella quickly discovered that her crate and cozy bed are her safe place. She loves curling up there and sleeps a lot—which isn’t surprising after everything she’s has been through. She’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving.

Bella’s skin culture came back with complex bacterial skin infections (very low risk to humans). To better manage the infections, the rescue is looking for a temp foster who doesn’t have other pets. The home care is fairly simple - using good hygiene, wearing gloves when applying topical medication, and giving oral medications. The vet advises that Pearl no longer needs medicated baths and the rescue provides all supplies. A long term foster has been secured for Bella but is not available until 9/15.

🐾Meet Archie — your future best friend! 🐾
Archie spent much of his puppyhood waiting for his chance at the shelter in Moreno Valley. He’s been out of the shelter for a little while now, but somehow this handsome, happy boy is still waiting for his Furever family. 💔🐶

The good news? Archie has been busy becoming an A+ good boy! ⭐ He’s learned how to walk nicely on a leash, he’s potty trained AND crate trained, and he’s ready to show his family just how wonderful he is.

Archie is a friendly, happy guy who would LOVE a home with a yard to zoom around in, a doggy buddy to hang out with, and a family who will keep him active with plenty of walks, playtime, and adventures. 🐕💨🌳

All Archie needs now is someone to say, “You’re home, buddy.” ❤️
