It was an incredible honor to be at the annual Chicano moratorium celebration in East Los angeles! Our team was there representing poetry around LA and offering typewriter poems.

A big shout of love and thanks to Mariana @nopal_flower and Hope @hope_cerna for their offering of poetry and community, and for giving LA Poet Society the opportunity to be at such a special event.

This Saturday, June 20th, Join us for an Open Mic in the Poets’ Garden hosted by @pamconcep5! Her book “Unbecoming” is out now with @riotofrosespublishing Sign ups start at 3:50 PM so get there early!

Before the open mic, catch several poets in The Wanda Coleman Theater reading the works of Spanish poet and playwright Federico García Lorca. Readings start at 2 pm. Including @comma_summer, @duncancuervo, @rgarciamon and more!
