My sweet Lizzy,

From the moment I first picked you up, I knew you were the puppy that was going to join our family. You were the best dog a little girl could’ve ever dreamed of. You were always there for me through thick and thin, never leaving my side. You were my best friend. 13 years went by too soon, but I am so grateful for every moment I had with you. I hope you’re making tons of new friends in dog heaven. I’ll always carry you with me.

I’ll miss you forever my sweet girl. 🩵 by @hope_ward24

On November 3, 2023, exactly a year ago today, I dislocated my shoulder tearing my labrum and pulling everything else in my shoulder. I knew my gymnastics career was going to come to an end at some point, but I never thought of it like this. While I feel like I gave up on the little girl who first started gymnastics at the age of 3, I know it was all part Gods plan. Gymnastics taught me so many valuable lessons and gave me some of my best friends, and for that I am forever grateful. I will truly miss the feeling of sticking a landing, learning a new skill, and celebrating with my teammates, but I can’t wait for the next chapters that follow! I’m so thankful for my parents and coaches, @lindseydenaicoach and @arase_one , for everything they did for me.
