Hi everyone! My name is Greta Philips and I am the event coordinator for Hope Haven this year! I am a sophomore studying Biomedical Physiology on the pre-med track and am so excited to introduce this club to campus. I have been volunteering with Hope Haven for the past semester and it is such an amazing opportunity to get involved within our community. I am a Junior and my major is Political Science, Communication Studies, with a minor in Law, Jurisprudence, and the State. I am an Ambassador for Franklin College of Arts & Sciences, the Programming Director for UGA Student Government Association, and the Vice President of Administration for Alpha Gamma Delta. I have loved volunteering with Hope Haven! It’s shown me the power of consistently showing up and showing compassion for others. Being able to help lead this organization so rooted in compassion has strengthened my commitment to service and connection with the community where I am placed! by @hopehavenuga

Hello! My name is Madelyn Paris and I am a third-year Entertainment and Media Studies major. Along with Hope Haven at UGA I am also a member of Tri Delta and UGA Miracle. Hope Haven has become such a special place for me. I have been able to connect with so many wonderful individuals through Hope Haven and I find that they never fail to make my day. Hope Haven has become a place for me to go on the side of school and work and forget about all of the things I have going on for a moment and focus on making connections with these amazing people. My name is Claire Pennell and I am a Junior Special Education major. I am an Alpha Chi Omega, and spend several days a week hanging out with my friends at ESP. Hey y’all my name is Ansley Rippey, I’m the president & founder of Hope Haven at UGA! I’m a third year Psychology undergraduate and have been working with Hope Haven throughout this last year, aiming to bring awareness and connection to this amazing facility. Our goal is to bring the clients of Hope Haven an engaging and positive environment with the influence of our UGA community! Through your involvement, we have been able to expand volunteer presence, raise money for extracurriculars for our clients, all while facilitating a new perspective on what life with developmental disabilities may look like for a broad range of individuals.
