Just a lil recap from our last Safe+Sound event! We’re still amazed of all the people who came out to support! What are we without community? We met so many beautiful people and glad we got the opportunity to host a free concert in the park with @soundsoflacounty @nextfestla. Thank you to @malachi.delrosario and @desireecoles for helping Lighthaus with organizing and bringing this event to life and thank you to all the amazing artists who came out and performed! Thank you to our partners who informed the community of their amazing work! We truly appreciate every one of y’all! Also huge thanks to the @traklife media team for capturing these moments! 📸 #community #safe+sound #concert #soundsofla by @hopestdistro

A gorgeous day for a distro. Neighbors were in good spirits, the food looked delicious, and tarps, liquid IV, and clothing were plentiful. Special thanks to M for working medic duty 👏. Who said Mutual Aid can’t be fun? We’re hosting a mutual aid event and collaborating with @hopestdistro to bring resources such as clothing, household items, pet supplies, outerwear, and hygiene products/kits to neighborhoods in LA. Come out to support our artists, organizations, and the community at the East LA Civic Center from 5pm-8pm for our Safe+Sound concert in the park! Also come pick up a tote bag made by @novacommunityarts! #lighthaus #safeandsoundla #soundsoflacounty #eastla #safeandsound by @hopestdistro
UPDATE: Your generous donations have covered the cost of a few nights in a hotel room and our neighbor and his son are safe. We’ve shared some resources for longer term plans and will keep you posted. Thank you!! ❤️ We’ve received an urgent request for a neighbor who has just lost access to the place he’s been staying with his 6yo son. If you have any contacts for shelters where they would be welcome or able to fast track into housing, please reach out asap. We are also accepting donations to help cover motel costs for tonight. by @hopestdistro

Sandwiches, ice (the good kind), water, snacks, clothes, and lots of dog supplies (+ toys!) gave our neighbors a nice distraction from yesterdays heat. Thank you so much everyone who shared and contributed last week - Hope St is funded for the next couple of months 💙 . 🥪 @oat_boat_ ❄️ @briz816 👚 @sierrabray @emeraldsssssssss 🐶 @fosterandphoto by @hopestdistro
We are so grateful for the partner orgs and regular donors who keep us afloat but we’ve stretched our funds as far as they will go. Please share! by @hopestdistro
Residents were doing their best to keep themselves and their pets cool and hydrated and absolutely scorching heat yesterday. There are no easily accessible cooling centers nearby, and the city continues to confiscate folks’s shelters leaving them unprotected. . We shared food, clothing, hygiene kits, and water plus a lot of laughs and tears remembering a very special neighbor gone to soon. We’ll always remember you, R ❤️ . 🥪 @homeymademeals 🪥 @clippershipcaptain 👚 @sierrabray by @hopestdistro
Shenanigans, intense heat, fresh oranges, sweeps and missing neighbors, kittens, laughter, an arrest, frozen water and Gatorade, and pizza at a birthday party. Our neighbors live this roller coaster 24/7. Everyone matters, LA Sanitation and LAPD suck, and community is beautiful. . Happy bday 🐭- we love you! . Can’t wait to see you in 2027, Miguel! . 🥪 @oat_boat_ 🧳 @laurynkahn ⛺️ @clippershipcaptain 🥤 Robert :) by @hopestdistro
