Dry, Wet, or Damp this January? This is a space for you! 🫶🏻

I personally do not celebrate “Dry January” but take this as a time to reevaluate my relationship with alcohol for the year. After the holidays, I am taking this time to “dry out” a bit. Why? Because that’s my choice!

As a proud GenZ’er, it has been amazing seeing so many inclusive options enter the beverage AND socializing spaces regarding Low/No ABV options. It can be isolating in a drink forward society to not drink. I am glad so many more options are opening up for those that choose to not drink. With the rise of low ABV, no ABV, and mocktail options today, being “sober conscious” is easier now than it ever has been! As much as I love my Hoppy IPAs, it is fun to explore other options in the beverage industry.

This month, I will be showing low ABV, no ABV, and mocktail options. Why? Because I am dedicated to showcase all aspects of the craft industry, & think it is important to showcase that there are other options out there.

If you are struggling with your relationship with alcohol, just know that there is support & resources out there to help you through your journey. Every area has different resources, make sure to do your research to find out what is best for you & your journey.

Czech this out!

One of my goals since moving to Nashville has been to check out as many breweries as possible, AND hit all of the @tailgatebrewery locations. @tailgatebeermr was my first brewery stop in Nashville ever (& yes, I have the @hoppykey post to prove it! 🤪) It feels a bit full circle to me to make this post.

I tried the Slow Bier: Czech Premium Pale. It is 5.2% ABV. This beer is super clean, with floral & bread notes throughout. A very easy sipper!

The pizza of the month this month is a Spicy Balsamic Pear & Gorgonzola. It was so good! We got the Gorgonzola on the side. I needed a brew that would compliment some of these flavors without overpowering them. This was the right pick!

Over the weekend, I took a trip to Columbus, OH!

Columbus has been on my list to visit to see a friend (and can’t lie, the beer scene)!

@wolfsridgebrewing was a great stop! They had a wide selection of beers, and a great happy hour menu. Yes- food included! Who doesn’t love a good burger & beer deal?

I tried Beer-Engine Innkeeper, a Traditional Pour English Ale. It is 4.8%. It is an all-grain forward brew. Definitely different than what I am used to, but happy I tried it! Very creamy, malty, and grain forward.

@jackieosbrewery offered a wide selection of beers on draft, from saison, seltzer, & everything in between! Lots of indoor seating inside & outside.

I tried the Palomino, which is a Pale Lager. Clocking in at 5.0%, it was an easy drinker. Super clean & simple!

If we weren’t hopping around, I definitely would have tried Wood Ya Honey Carrot Cake, but it was 11.6%! If someone could try it & report back, that would be amazing. 😉

@landgrantbrewing has an amazing outdoor space! They also offer ciders, which is a refreshing change of pace for those who want to try something other than a seltzer (for the non-beer drinkers out there)!

I tried the Peak Pilsner at 5.0% ABV. It has notes of malt with wildflowers, citrus, & white grape. A bit more complex than other pilsners I have tried which I appreciate!

@saucybrewworks offers a great selection of fun beers! This is a great stop for more adventurous beer drinkers.

I tried the Hammock Haze, which is a Tropical Hazy IPA. It is 7.3% ABV. It is dry hopped with Citra & Krush hops. This is definitely a fruity IPA, but not super overwhelming & sweet! It was more of the “rind” citrus notes.

Also pictured is Brunch, a Mimosa Style Fruit Beer. It is 9.2% ABV. Forget the mismosa pitchers on Sunday & go for this instead!!😉 taken in Columbus, Ohio by @hoppykey

Oh honey, honey, hope you’ll beer me…

Miro Miel from @eastnashbeer is a Blonde Ale. This Ale is 5.2% ABV, IBU not mentioned. It is brewed with local Tennessee honey for a ~real~ honey taste, reminding me of honeycomb! Sweet, clean, & crushable, you’ll be buzzing for more! 🐝

It’s hard not to get ‘Tunnel Vision’ when you find that one IPA you’ve been waiting for 😩!

Tunnel Vision is a double dry-hopped IPA by @beardediris! This IPA is 6.8% ABV, I could not find IBU. Blurred mouthful with citrus notes, it is a clean and easy sipper!

I also tried the Pharmacy Pils (not pictured). It is a Pilsner with 5% ABV. Clean, notes of floral and honey, with a light mouthfeel.

The taproom offers indoor & outdoor seating, plus darts & pool!

Would you try a double dry-hopped IPA? What is your favorite one?

I have been in a Pils & Pizza state of mind recently! 🍕🍺

@smithandlentzbeer offer a great selection of both pizza & beers that match. I got the German Pils which is 4.7% ABV. This beer is a traditional crisp Pilsner, with subtle notes of sourdough, biscuit, and sweetness. This was a great Pilsner that was very clean & well balanced, with flavor that was not overpowering of my meal. Obviously, I had to pair it with a sourdough pepperoni pizza 🤤. Nothing like a pizza & beer to celebrate the weekend with. 🍻

What’s your go-to style for pizza? Coming from the Northeast, I have to say NY style.🍕

Can we all collectively agree that it’s finally porch pounder season?!

Tiny Bomb is a Pilsner from @wiseacrebrewingcompany. This brew is 4.5% ABV with 39 IBU. This Pilsner is crisp with a honey finish! 🍯It has notes of malt, honey, & biscuit. Balanced & clean brews are the brews for me. 😉 This could be a versatile beer for your summer barbecues or lake days!

What are some of your 2026 porch pounders? I have been trying more Tennessee brews since my move & have yet to be disappointed! 🫶🏻

Throwback to last Thursday for the Grand Opening of @heartbreakersmidtown in Midtown Nashville!

This bar has a bit of something for everyone. They have a variety of beer & wine, with beer having both craft & domestic options (shoutout to my favorite offering of @tailgatebrewery Orange Wheat). I tried the Salty Señorita which had @los_sundays Jalapeño Tequila, triple sec, & fresh lime. Of course I got a Tajín rim. 😉 They also offer a food service for Brunch, Lunch, & Dinner!

The vibes were so fun & I love the outdoor spaces on the 1st & 2nd floors. The basement offered more of a lounge area with seating & darts. 🎯 The location is super convenient, perfect for a bar crawl (or just to stay all day). 😉

Happy to say that I did some celebrating with some 'Good People' this past weekend. 🔥

@vonelrods in Nashville has almost 40 taps that change frequently, which did make it hard to pick just one brew! 🤫 The outdoor seating space is perfect for groups large and small. We definitely lucked out with the perfect night this weekend to enjoy some patio brews. 🎉

I did grab a pour of Good People IPA from Good People Brewing Co @gpbrewing. This IPA is 7.1% ABV with an IBU of 75.5. This dry-hopped IPA is unfiltered, creating a smooth, hoppy brew with a sweet finish.

Are you more of a patio or indoor seating person? I love to be outdoors any chance I can get!
