🍺🇩🇪O’zapft is! 🇩🇪🍺

🍻Oktoberfest officially begins in Munich today, and our 5th Annual Oktoberfest Celebration begins right here in Bonita Springs!

The taproom is dressed for the occasion, the beer is pouring, the music is ready, and our food lineup came prepared for Oktoberfest too.

🍕 @southpizzaco & @dontgiveupfoodtruck are both on site today, bringing some awesome dishes with a German twistcreated for the celebration!

🍰 And when you’re ready for something sweet, @elisminicravings Dessert Truck will be here with the sweet treats!

Then, of course, there’s the reason we started doing this in the first place: the beer.🍺

🇩🇪Come spend the day with us for German-style beers, music, food, Maßkrugstemmen, a little friendly competition, and one of our favorite Hopsized traditions of the year.

Lederhosen and dirndls are absolutely encouraged.

🇩🇪Tomorrow marks the official opening of Oktoberfest in Münich, when the first keg is tapped at 12pm and the celebration officially begins; a tradition that continues into early October.

🍻Here in Bonita Springs, we’re kicking off our 5th Annual Oktoberfest Celebration on the very same day🍻

🇩🇪The taproom is getting dressed for the occasion, the German-style beers are ready to pour, and we’re bringing back the music, food and traditions that have made this one of our favorite celebrations of the year.

‼️But you don’t have to wait until tomorrow to start.
@theschnitzels_foodtruck will be at Hopsized today!!!

So consider this your unofficial warm-up. 🇩🇪🍻

Every year, we’ve asked ourselves how we could make it bigger than the year before.

More entertainment. More activities. More reasons to come.

This year, we’re asking a different question: How do we bring it back to the reason we started celebrating it in the first place?

We fell in love with brewing German style beers because there is nowhere for the brewer to hide.

They’re clean, balanced and deceptively simple, and getting them right requires patience, precision and a lot and true respect for the brewing process.

Much Needed Friday Beer Releases 🍻

It's been one hell of a week! With that in mind, it's only right to drop these two beer releases to help smooth you into your weekend!

🍻 Slàinte | 5.3% ALC/VOL | Irish Red Ale | A smooth and beautifully balanced Irish Red Ale pouring a deep ruby-copper hue. Toasted malt, caramel, and subtle biscuit notes lead the way, rounded out by a gentle roast character and just enough hop bitterness for a crisp, clean finish. Rich in flavor yet incredibly drinkable—raise a glass and say Slàinte! 🍀

Oh, how we've missed you, friend! To-Go cans will be available early next week!

🍻 The Diary of Haze – Nectaron | 7% ALC/VOL | Nebulous IPA | A fresh new chapter in our TDoH Nectaron series. Brewed exclusively with Nectaron hops, this iteration keeps our tried-and-true brewing process intact while introducing something new: Nectaron Sub-Zero Hop Kief. We made a slight adjustment to our traditional dry-hop rate, then finished the cold side pre-carb with a healthy dose of concentrated Nectaron Hop Kief—amplifying the hop’s intensely tropical, juicy character while keeping that soft, saturated haze we love.

Same process. New technique. All Nectaron.

September has a different meaning around here. 🇩🇪

It means Oktoberfest season is officially here🍻
And before someone asks us why we’re celebrating Oktoberfest in September...there’s actually a reason.

The original Oktoberfest began in Munich in October 1810 as a celebration of the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. But by 1872, the festival was moved earlier to take advantage of September’s longer, warmer days and that tradition stuck. Today, Munich’s Oktoberfest still begins in September and runs into October.

So when we celebrate our 5th annual Oktoberfest on September 19, we’re not early….

We’re following tradition. 🍺🇩🇪

Throughout this month, we’re going to share a little more about that tradition, the German beer styles behind it, and why lagers hold a pretty special place in what we brew here at Hopsized.
