Me and my favorite little human! My son Marky and grandson Liam flew in for a surprised visit during Brandon’s graduation. ❤️ He amazed me in every way possible. Proud of his parents! 👏🏼 #family by @horchato__

Packed the bus and headed up the mountain for some nice fall weather. A much needed road trip! Thank you Sergio & Vasquez fam. 🎉🎂 #vintagevolkswagens #vwbus #vwcamper @lilsurge1967 by @horchato__

All cleaned up and full of crappy gas. In search of big trees & fall weather. #vintagevolkswagens #vwbus #vwcamper #vwwestfalia #thebluewhitevelvetgreendormobile 🍁🌲☕️🎃 by @horchato__

Popped the top up for the first time. I need to repair a small dent on the canopy before installing the green & white cover. Thanks @buses_by_the_brews Steven for the canopy. It is going to fit nicely. #vintagevolkswagens #vwbus #vwcamper #vwwesty #thebluewhitevelvetgreendormobile by @horchato__

A little interior build for the camper. A comfy SO35 style for this upcoming camp season. #vintagevolkswagen #vwcamper #vwbus #thebluewhitevelvetgreendormobile #dormobile by @horchato__

The start of a bench seat interior for the Dormobile. Not fun working in this 100 plus heat 🔥 but the fall weather waits for no one. Took some inspiration from @oakmanwesty ‘s SO-35 Westy. 🙌🏼 #vintagevolkswagens #vwbus #vwwestfalia #thebluewhitevelvetgreendormobile by @horchato__

I did a Buttys Bitts 12-volt conversion over the weekend. Pretty simple upgrade for those wanting something on their 56 to early 65 VW Bus. Single-speed with self-park, just in case we run into a little sprinkle this winter. #vintagevolkswagens #vwbus #vwcamper by @horchato__

It was only proper to outfit the closet pop-out window with the original glass and vintage travel decals. Rebuilt all 6 for a watertight fit. #vintagevolkswagens #vwbus #vwpreservation #thebluewhitevelvetgreendormobile by @horchato__

The forecast is 100s 🔥 for the next 2 months, but the list needs to be done. New window seals and a 2-speed wiper motor upgrade. #vintagevolkswagen #vwbus #vwcamper #vwwestfalia by @horchato__

I recently tackled the non existent light issues. Converted 6v to 12v with LED bulbs for a brighter more visible Bus.

In 1963 they added emergency flashers. Correcting wrong wiring was a bit difficult.

Took the internals out of this one. The original was faulty and in pretty bad shape. I will repair and reinstall it at a later time.

The wiring harness to this Bus is in perfect shape and has never been cut. I'm keeping it that way. That comes in handy when using the original swirling chematics.

Replaced both the flasher unit on the driver's side and the emergency flasher relay on the passenger side.

The original 6v units. Keeping just in case.. Lol. Also I read that if you use 2 6v flashers in line with a 6v relay it will work on 12v. Old Popular Mechanics Mag trick. I didn't want to chance it.

Here is the Emergency flasher relay. Wolfsburg West 211953226 Must use 4 prong 211953215C turn signal relay with this. 👉🏼

Turn signal flasher unit 4 prong. Wolfsburg West 211953215C It is a 1968-70 Bus/Bug unit that fits pre 67 when converting to 12v. 21 watt bulbs must be used with this flasher module.

Here are the parts needed. Stay safe! @wolfsburgwest #wolfsburgwest #vintagevolkswagens #vwbus #vwcamper #vwserviceandrepair by @horchato__
