Last Friday, I helped a man locate his cattle using my thermal drone & spotlight while in the field working on a mapping project. I happened to be at the right place at the right time with my equipment with me, so I offered my assistance & spotted them in less than 30 minutes. I’m happy he was able to get them back🐄

Side note, I’m grateful to be learning survey-grade mapping. This has been a pretty cool experience so far!🛰️ by @horizonskyworks

The future of drones is here! I had a great time at the ElevateUAV Summit 2025 convention hosted in Miami last week. I met many amazing people from various industries, watched cool demos & learned a lot about the new technology coming out, the methods of data collection, software, sensors, and much more!

This is my 2nd time attending this convention & it’s very valuable! I am proud to be a drone nerd🤓

I got to watch a cool drone delivery demonstration at the Sun N’ Fun airshow yesterday. This company is called Wing. Their drone has 16 rotors, cruises at 65mph, has a 6-mile range, & can carry up to 5 pounds! They’ve partnered with companies like Walmart & DoorDash. Not a Skydio fan at all for numerous reasons but I picked up a new contract doing homeowners insurance claims inspections & these are the drones they want us to use, integrated with EagleView. The Skydio 2+ actually lost connection mid-flight & crashed shortly after this screen record. It still won’t connect, so now the company is giving me a new one to use. The EagleView platform is fine, but Skydio is trash, in my personal opinion. Pro tip: NEVER buy their products! taken in Orlando, Florida by @horizonskyworks
