This is the fully hand-stitched 1911 IWB Holster. The belt loop folds under itself at my natural anchor point. The loop is skived with a vintage straight blade to provide a seamless mouth opening that contains the American steel reinforcement, polished by hand.

FORTY FIVE FRIDAY

Every collection has one gun that isn’t the rarest or the most valuable — it’s the one made the same year you were. This is mine.

Colt Mk IV Commander, .45 ACP. It might look pretty rough, but after upgrading the internals tightening the slide and rails and putting on a set of Harrison sights I have been carrying this one the most out of anything. I eventually plan to get it fully engraved and refinished, but for right now this is how it’ll be.

This one wears ivory-toned grips and rides in a @horseoakleather holster, because this Commander deserves some fine leather goods.

You can’t take it with you — but you can carry a piece of your own year while you’re here.

Last week’s local match was a damn good time with the local crew. I was primarily shooting Single Stack, but we had one bonus stage where I decided to break out the Limited 10 space gun and let it eat.

This video is the opening run with the @horseoakleather 1911 competition rig — and good Lord, this thing is HOT. 🔥

Really enjoying getting this rig put through its paces and seeing what it can do when the pace picks up.

Now it’s on to this week’s anniversary match. If you snagged a spot, I can’t wait to see you guys out there. Looking forward to a good time, a little friendly competition, and one hell of an outlaw match.
