It’s with great pleasure that we announce our next Hoste Artist in Residence: Nyia Sissac!
Chicago-born and based, Nyia is a fine art portrait photographer whose work explores generational legacy within the Black community. Through her lens, she seeks to redefine the African American experience by creating new narratives, illuminating past stories, and showcasing the divine originality of Black life.

Nyia’s latest body of work, black., is an inspired celebration of Black joy and Black perseverance, serving as both archive and bridge: connecting generations while preserving the legacy of those who came before us.

SATURDAY, JULY 25th Black JoyRid will be riding out with @leagueoftheirownchi and @sweetteasbeautysupply.la for an activation honoring WNBA All-Star weekend!

Join us at 12PM at @hostepilsen where we will meet and ride out in celebration of fierce women in sports. Our ride should be about 45 mins at a 10-15 mph pace.
