no one told me that running would become so addicting and fulfilling 🙂‍↕️ san francisco half 2026 anyone?
celebrating 5 months of sobriety from all substances with a new 5k PB of a 29:35 chip time ☺️ and celebrating pride month with the outdoor queer community 😌
only started seriously running in March of this year with my best 5k effort being 35:37 then & i really can’t believe the progress i’ve made since, thanks to @runna 💓

i miss rosie a ton but life has been ok :-) i spend most of my days running or hiking now, or binge watching sex and the city. i’ve found my groove at work, i’m reading and writing, seeing my therapist regularly, calling my out of state friends. i ended riding season by meeting new friends in Bend and on Mt. Bachelor. i’m going for a new 5k PB on sunday and will be training for a 10k after that. i’ve found a new love for endurance sports and going fast, and learning the patience to go slow. dealing with grief is hard but it really has reminded me that everything is temporary, so just send it🚀 by @hot.2go

our beloved baby angel rosie passed away on april 12, 2025. we are so heartbroken.

she lost the battle to a combination of two autoimmune disorders - immune-mediated thrombocytopenia and immune-mediated hemolytic anemia.

she was only six years old upon her passing but had so much love to give in her years on this earth 💓she had traveled all around with us — from the beaches at lake tahoe to the valley of fire near las vegas. she loved playing in the snow in galena and gulping down the truckee river. she also loved the tom cooke trail loop and running around at ballardini ranch. we love her so much and she will live on forever in our hearts. i am very grateful for the time spent with such a sweet bean. by @hot.2go

🚨 mutual aid request for my best friend @menacemare to have adequate funds to apply for a green card while caring for her cat, Goose 🚨 link in my bio!! 🚨

if you know me well, you have probably met or heard of mare; she was my wedding officiant and i recently attended her intimate wedding ceremony in boston. i have known her for almost 10 years now and we have been best friends for a long time. as a DACA recipient, she’s had to spare her expenses to pay to renew her DACA status, while also paying to obtain her green card, which comes at a LARGE expense — around $10,000!

i am humbly asking my friends and community to help raise funds for her. she is such an intelligent chemist at a biotech lab, a pretty good fisher, and an amazing friend. any little bit counts. $10,000 is such a steep financial burden for just a couple people.

on top of that, she recently found herself in a position of paying for extra vet care for her cat Goose, a 9 year old tortie who has been with her since our college days.

i’ve been thinking a lot over the last couple days as we’ve turned a page over onto the new calendar year. personally i stopped doing resolutions because i’ve never been able to successfully meet all of them and by setting expectations for myself, i’ve met nothing but disappointment by my own efforts. my therapist told me to stop setting myself up for failure and to just meet my goals little by little, when i want to and when i need to. so i’m just gonna keep doing me, pick up a book when i feel like it, to move my body when i want to. still very grateful for the little miracles of life i get to witness in each passing day, every conversation i have with strangers, the daydream state i experience flying over states… approaching 27 has been its own miracle, not knowing if i would even make it to another year of life, fighting my own demons, can i even sum up another calendar year in a social media post anymore?

anyway happy new year, i know it will be another year of changes and moves 💓 grateful for everyone who’s been a part of my life this far for teaching me invaluable lessons by @hot.2go
