An assortment of espresso, healing teas, herbal potions, immune system boosters and nibbles will be provided as a starting point for an afternoon watching performance artists Haiwen and Lab Ballerina activate #Puzzled, 2017, an interactive sculpture by Naomi Fisher originally commissioned by ArtPlace America and Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs for a temporary exhibition at The Underline. Fisher will be present to share a coffee, tea, and snack with visitors, and to do guided walkthroughs throughout the day of Rootwork, a solo exhibition featuring Fisher’s 25-year practice of botanically inspired art-making and community organizing in Miami. The exhibition highlights new sculptures and paintings inspired by the flora found in Miami alongside a selection of archival works that trace Fisher’s long engagement with the botanical world. Last entry is at 3pm. The gardens are open until 4:30pm.Rideshare and carpooling is encouraged, as parking is limited. by @hotbugsnearu

So excited to share I'll be teaching a workshop with birthday boy @eelpicnic for New World's booth (A95) at Untitled, Sat. at 11 am! Come play in the mud and get the bougie tent dirty and maybe learn some oolite masonry with us :) *Except we'll be building an artificial reef instead.
