When we first opened Hotel Bar, not everyone understood our vision. Few were sold on our location, and plenty wondered why we called ourselves Hotel Bar when we weren’t actually in a hotel. Yes, we even got calls from people trying to book a room…

Our focus has always been simple: genuine hospitality and perfectly crafted drinks. Ten years later, we’re incredibly proud of what that little idea has become and even more grateful for the community that has embraced us.

We’ve had the honor of being part of your evenings, first dates, proposals, birthdays, and celebrations. We’ve watched strangers become friends and countless memories unfold across our bar. Being part of your stories has meant everything to us.

None of it would be possible without our extraordinary team. They’re among the most talented people in Tampa Bay, but it’s their kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine care for every guest that make them so special. They’re the heart of Hotel Bar.

This November, we’re celebrating 10 incredible years, and one party simply isn’t enough!

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7 — FIESTAS DE FACUNDITO

Together with our friends at Bacardí, we’re bringing the spirit of legendary 1920s Cuban celebrations to Hotel Bar! Inspired by Facundito Bacardí’s unforgettable gatherings, expect incredible cocktails, live Latin music, food, friendship, and the kind of generous hospitality that brings an entire community together. If you joined us for Hotel Havana, you won’t want to miss this one!

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9 — OUR BIRTHDAY PARTY

We’re teaming up with Brown-Forman to throw a birthday party dedicated to the people who have made Hotel Bar what it is today! A night of nostalgia, incredible cocktails, shared memories, and the friendships that have brought Tampa’s hospitality community together for the past decade. This one’s for everyone who’s been part of our story, and we can’t wait to make a few more memories with you!

In 1920s Cuba, Facundito Bacardí Gaillard, grandson of BACARDÍ’s founder, became legendary for throwing extraordinary parties. Guests traveled from around the world to attend, but what made these gatherings special wasn’t exclusivity. It was the generosity behind them. Music, food, and rum flowed freely, the festivities spilled into the streets, and the entire community became part of the celebration.

At their heart, the Fiestas de Facundito were about something simple: bringing people together, taking care of them, and giving them a reason to celebrate. Inspired by that spirit, BACARDÍ and Hotel Bar are introducing Fiestas de Facundito, a new annual celebration. Each year will bring a different theme, a different story, and a new reason to gather.

For our inaugural fiesta, we’re celebrating 10 YEARS OF HOTEL BAR! Join us as we toast a decade of friendships, memories, and the community that has made Hotel Bar so special. TEN INCREDIBLE YEARS OF HOTEL BAR.

Ten years ago, we opened our doors with a simple idea: create a place where people could come together over great cocktails and genuine hospitality. What we couldn’t have imagined was just how many wonderful people would become part of our story along the way.

Over the last decade, we’ve shared countless nights, celebrated milestones, made lifelong friends, and watched this little bar become a gathering place for a community we’re incredibly proud to be part of.

On Monday, November 9th, we’re bringing everyone together to celebrate ten years of Hotel Bar and, more importantly, the people who have made those years so special.

Live DJ Qyes, birthday cake, special release merch, cocktail specials, a 10PM anniversary toast, and the sealing of our time capsule to be opened ten years from now.

TEQUILA SUNRISE — Long before the orange juice-and-grenadine version became a 1970s icon, an early Tequila Sunrise was served at the Arizona Biltmore’s Wright Bar, built with tequila, lime, crème de cassis and soda. Our version brings the cocktail’s past and present together, with house-made ancho-spiced grenadine and citrus pepper jelly adding layers of heat, spice, and bright citrus.

BRANDY ALEXANDER — Born amid the glamour of New York’s Rector’s, where bartender Troy Alexander is said to have created a snow-white combination of gin, cacao and cream for a dinner honoring the famously white-clad Phoebe Snow. Rector’s soon gave way to the grand Hotel Rector, a Beaux-Arts palace rising over Broadway and Times Square, carrying the restaurant’s reputation for lavish hospitality into the golden age of the American hotel. In the years that followed, brandy replaced gin, transforming the Alexander into the richer, decadent classic we know today.
