happy transgender day of visibility.

it’s been 1,335 days since my life changed so drastically for the better. top surgery gave me a new outlook on life. for the first time, i was excited to leave the house, meet new people, and experience new things. it’s been 616 days since i made the next biggest step towards being myself, starting HRT allowed me to feel at home in my body, speak up and make new friends, step out of my comfort zone, and try things i never would’ve before. medically transitioning saved my life.

i spent so may of these years terrified of how being trans would isolate me and wondering if i could be truly happy. today i know it was worth everything ive ever faced to be authentically myself. im surrounded by so much love and joy and i couldnt be more thankful for my chosen family. if you’ve ever loved me, thank you by @hotel4bats
