This is where skateboarding was born. In the 70s, Dogtown locals like Tony Alva and Jay Adams turned Venice concrete into a revolution, and the park is still free and open daily from 8 AM to sunset. You do not even need a board to enjoy it. Just post up at the rails and watch the locals drop in. All of it, minutes from your room.⁠
