Welcome to Hotel Pommier!👋 We’re Iowa’s highest-rated and fastest growing independent hotel brand. In 2019, we opened our flagship Indianola location, with our second hotel opening in Chariton in 2025. This year, we’re renovating and rebranding our third hotel in Winterset. Scheduled to open in October, we can’t wait to welcome you to Hotel Pommier #3! - - - Follow along as we document our journey of becoming Iowa’s best independent hotel brand! New here? Guest reviews are simultaneously the best social proof we can get for other guests, and the hardest thing to encourage our guests to leave. We work in hospitality, and being an indie hotel, bad reviews can feel super demoralizing. We work tirelessly to give our guests an experience that outperforms all our competitors, but we can’t please everyone, and we all make mistakes. But…when guests leave reviews like these, we can’t help but smile!! We have the best guests, the best team, and best supporters for recommending us to their friends and family. Thanks for all your support, onwards we go! - - - Follow along as we document our journey of becoming Iowa’s best independent hotel brand! New here? Our crazy plan is starting to come together…definitely in the thick of it! ⚒️ For the sauna, if we face the wall you get more privacy but not great to look at. If we face the patio you do a good view at expense of privacy. Thinking of keeping it as is and adding some privacy film? - - - Follow along as we document our journey of becoming Iowa’s best independent hotel brand! New here? We wouldn’t be competitive without technology from @cloudbeds . It was humbling to be invited to their Ambition event and meet so many of their team members. You can tell a lot about a company based on how long employees work there, and was awesome to see familiar names from when we onboarded back in 2018! Thank you team @cloudbeds for the amazing hospitality, excited about the future! - - - Follow along as we document our journey of becoming Iowa’s best independent hotel brand! New here? When an independent hotel owner and a muralist work together, great things come to life! #hotelpommier #whimsicaltwist #iowamuralist #wintersetiowa #madisoncounty by @hotelpommier
Email received at 8:51 AM: "Driver broke down." 🤦‍♂️👇 Trying my best to not complain, but we’ve dealt with non-stop landmines that we have near zero control over. And this delivery was critical, it has sinks to get our guest rooms and public restrooms back in order. We pivoted on the fly and are now assembling our brand-new breakfast area tables to keep the project moving forward. What do you think of the new breakfast area setup? - - - Follow along as we document our journey of becoming Iowa’s best independent hotel brand! New here? This should have been a 6 month project, but we are now 9 months in. But walking around the hotel and seeing everything come together feels amazing. The new lobby and breakfast area is looking better than I expected! - - - Follow along as we document our journey of becoming Iowa’s best independent hotel brand! New here? I didn’t want traditional and boring but also didn’t want abstract and confusing. @whimsical.twist she nailed it! Candice had been on my radar for sometime so was super excited to finally give her a call. I didn’t even budget for an outside mural, but it became a priority once I realized how many people didn’t know our hotel existed. It was super cool to see her in action and am over the moon with how it turned out. Do you think more people will stop by the hotel now we’ve got this mural?? - - - Follow along as we document our journey of becoming Iowa’s best independent hotel brand! New here? What can go wrong will go wrong! The renovation is really starting to come together which I’m over the moon about. But had some expensive ‘education’ along the way. 168 mattresses…no time to comb hair. Not getting much sleep during these renovations, but I guarantee our guests will be! - - - Follow along as we document our journey of becoming Iowa’s best independent hotel brand! New here? I’ve dreamed of painting a mural in a hotel for years and finally got my wish! Thank you @hotelpommier for trusting me with this breezeway transformation. I had so much fun bringing Madison County details into this newly renovated space. If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Winterset, this is it. And if your hotel (or @vrbo or @airbnb ) needs a facelift I’m your gal. Let’s chat. #ladieswhopaint #hilbertmurals #hotelmural #muralartist #muralpainting by @hotelpommier
