Agenda:Thirty Years War(1618-1648) Committee:Joint Crisis Committee The Thirty Years War 1618-1648 was one of the most complex wars in Europe until the 17th Century. The war broke out as catholicism was trying to be forced upon more of Europe and the Protestants and the Protestant rights were being undermined which led to the Thirty Years War. It swiftly took most of Europe into the war as sides got bigger and more strong as more regions and nations joined the fight 2 coalitions rose with 1 being with the Protestants and 1 being with the Pope. The 2 coalitions called The Habsburg Alliance and the Anti-Habsburg Coalition consisted of major powers like France and HRE. The war continued for 30 years resulting in a loss of around 20% in Europe and more than 50% in some regions. This weakened both sides a lot and at the end it resulted in the protestants winning. This Committee focuses on the 17th century battle filled Europe and the last stages of feodalism being seen on the map. In this committee the purpose is to win against the other side and prove your side superior. The crisis committee will consist of 2 committees each of one being one of the Alliances. Agenda Item: Imperial Cabinet of the Latin Empire in the year 1204 The sun was setting over the ruins of the City of the World's Desires as the Latin Emperor, Baldwin I, took his first step into the Blacharnae Palace. Latin forces had unleashed hell over the once-magnificent capital of the Eastern Roman Empire. The Queen of Cities could only cast a shadow of her former self. The Emperor, wary of the possible threats in the East and the West, immediately commenced the Catholic preparations to protect God's holdings in the East. Although the Crusade was victorious and the empire had been founded, the real struggle has just begun. In the west, Bulgarians are marching from the plains of Thrace. In the East, the successors of the Eastern Roman Empire are ruthlessly seeking vengeance, ready to fight for their former glory. Even with enemies approaching from every frontier, the real danger still lies within. Orthodox populations are constantly rebelling, fracturing the empire, and every dime that successfully entered the treasury immediately flowed to external debts.
