Starting a new chapter is never easy, but that’s what makes it meaningful.

After 14 years of building @house_cartel through countless nights on the dancefloor, we’ve officially taken the next step. What began as a collective and event platform is now evolving into a record label.

Releasing our debut EP with @halal_sol last month was a surreal feeling, and this month we’re proud to follow it with a release from one of our own residents @fariswaiteasa . At the same time, we’re already receiving inspiring demos from artists who believe in the same musical vision we do. It feels like we’re building something much bigger than ourselves.

Our mission remains unchanged: to champion house music that stays true to its roots. Inspired by the timeless sounds of Chicago, New York, and Detroit, we want to release music that is soulful, deep, groove-driven, and built for dancers—while embracing contemporary ideas that respect the culture rather than chase trends.

This journey also means becoming students again. Running a record label has opened up a whole new world of artist development, A&R, management, distribution, and marketing. There’s so much to learn, and we’re embracing every challenge that comes with it.

We’re only at the beginning, but we’re incredibly excited for what’s ahead. Thank you to everyone who has supported House Cartel over the last 14 years and to everyone joining us on this next chapter.

House Cartel Records welcomes Singapore-based producer @halal_sol with Tell Me?, a four-track EP that explores the deeper corners of house music through hypnotic grooves, acid textures and understated emotion.

Tell Me? reflects a personal state of mind. As Halal Sol explains, the EP captures moments that feel scattered and restless, yet remain grounded by a lasting connection to the sounds that continue to inspire him.

Rooted in classic house traditions while maintaining a contemporary perspective, Tell Me? showcases Halal Sol’s ability to create music that is functional on the dancefloor yet rich in character and detail.

Huge props to @rezekimagis & @naiabassya for bringing their signature sound & energy for their Le Cirque debut, and for solid b2bs with @anandiwp & @fariswaiteasa . Rounding out the night, @robinrahardian and @randhyyanas delivered stellar opening & closing sets.
