What is ModA?

Modern Anthropology Studios (ModA) is a new cultural institution building the infrastructure for the next generation of independent artists. Through exhibitions, artist panels, creative workshops and presentations open to the public, ModA focuses on the interdisciplinary, experimental projects of young, emerging talent from diverse identity and geographic backgrounds.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we champion the exploration of unique narratives in the context of non-traditional, non-Western, non-mainstream cultural backgrounds and create accessible spaces for communities to engage with these stories.

ModA's vision includes building a global artist network supporting independent creatives, international artist exchange programs, foundational infrastructure for education support and community building in DTLA and urban Manhattan, and preservation of global narratives.

Join us at our Inaugural Charity Gala on November 14th to hear more about what we’ve been working on, and help us celebrate the independent artists and creative communities at the heart of ModA’s work while raising critical support for the next chapter of our artist ecosystem.

We appreciate your time, consideration, and belief in the arts. by @house_modastudio

What do we want to fill ModA LA’s space with?

ModA’s been blessed by numerous events and a growing community this past year, and we want to keep it going! Our Inaugural Charity Gala on November 14th is the time when we can show everyone what we’ve been working on, explain where we want to go from here, and collect the support to make it all happen.

Check out our invitation link in the bio for more information, and spread the word! by @house_modastudio

We might just have created your next favorite sitcom pilot… I’m so grateful for the fantastic cast and crew that worked with me to produce this beautiful piece of magic. It was my first time writing and directing in English, but I believe I rose to the challenge (had to Google that one to be sure that’s how we say it 🤣). I’m proud and happy.
