“There is organized resistance in everything I do” — @tidathaitea

An explorer of niches, TÍDA (@tidathaitea) releases her debut ep and self produced project “Echo Chamber.” — a reflection of her skills when she was just starting out as a producer and experimentalist.

Echo Chamber is a collection of five songs diving into themes of Isolation vs Solitude, Mourning, and Adaptation. Determined to be more than just an event curator and host, Tída views this release as a promise to herself to not give in to the idea of limitations.

“You only get so much time to create.” — @conworld_

Adding a new dimension to his identity as an artist, conworld (@conworld_) drops his debut album “Rock 3” — a self-produced, written and recorded body of work that explores themes of industry angst, love-letter-love, and self belief. Encased in worlds of sonic boundary pushing, Rock 3 utilizes indie electronic rock as its jumping off point.

con is a multi-instrumental studio experimentalist who uses 2D animation to give life to his 2-track audio files all while being a part time key-tar wizard.

“I started creating this album as a means of expressing my emotions dealing with the story involving my now girlfriend (yay) Kay. Later down the road, I began to craft songs like, “Stupid People,” to deal with my anger, “Orange is the Color,” to vent about my struggle to believe in myself, and of course, “Rock 2,” which was a chance for me to make music for a feeling rather than emotion.”

This is Housecat.FM (@housecat.fm)

We are an extension of JIJI’s Jazz Club (@jijisjazzclub) that focuses on music that falls under electronic, experimental, etc. In a city obsessed with pretending not to care, we want to carry out the mission from JIJI’s to the producer, dj, and edm spaces we can curate / collaborate with.

With a journalistic approach, we highlight other artists and collectives that are building their own worlds and communities within the genre in addition to hosting our own events where we invite you to get offline and get together.

Face each other, not the DJ.

Meow meow,
@housecat.fm
