New notebook days is one of my favorite days.

I’m grateful for all the work we’ve done in the past few months and excited to continue those projects and start new ones very very soon.

Picking paint colors for a new tennis-related project and this is the level of detail we get into to find the right shade of green to match the energy of a grass court at Wimbledon:

- application? vertical
- light source? above, artificial white
- windows? none

Details really do matter and make the difference from good to great.

Did you know we also do graphic design? Just finished this up for a client and their group focused on connecting people to the outdoors through transit and cycling.

Did you know in Seattle you can now build four houses where only one was allowed before?

With the change in laws we felt it was time to design some visions as to what living together with your current friends (or future friends) could look like with the Seattle Four-Flat.

If you know of anyone looking to create a group living situation or a developer looking to build innovative new architecture in Seattle, definitely point them our way.

We are thankful for this gorgeous view on the site of our next major project, a #passivehouse that will be designed out in Pateros, WA. This is will be our client’s forever home and so visiting the site and getting a sense of the surrounding area was critical to do before starting work.

Our "City Condo Kitchen" project is a design that both gives light and vibrancy to what was a dim and dated kitchen and improves the accessibility of spaces for shorter users by incorporating a @trueresidential undercounter fridge and freezer drawers along with @revashelf shelving systems in the upper cabinets.
The design aesthetic is centered around the mid-century modern aesthetic, using @concretecollaborative 24x24 terrazzo tiles that both provide some visual variety and serve as the color inspiration for the @stileandrail cabinetry. That—in harmony with a white quartz countertop, @cafeappliances, and brushed brass finishes—creates a magical kitchen that transforms the everyday act of meal-making into something that much more fun.
