One of our favorite things about living in Bend, Oregon is how close adventure always feels.

It doesn’t have to be a three-hour drive away. It doesn’t need a hotel, a packed itinerary, or an entire weekend planned around it.

Sometimes it’s just a trail near the Deschutes River, the dogs in the backseat, and a few free hours to wander.

That’s the beauty of life in Bend. The rivers, trails, forests, and open spaces aren’t only places you visit once in a while. They become part of the everyday rhythm of living in Central Oregon.

A normal afternoon can turn into a small adventure without much planning at all.

And maybe that’s what makes Bend feel so special.

Adventure isn’t always somewhere you have to escape to.

It’s already right outside your door.

What a gift from @houseofalfaro and Pauahi, this is by far the best footage I’ve ever had of myself doing anything. So glad it happens to be surfing the river wave. These are some seriously talented and generous people.

You gotta check out what they’re up to. Follow them for some of the best videos you’ll ever see on instagram. Bend centered, food obsessed, joy filled stuff ⤵️

A big part of loving where you live is loving what you get to do when you clock out. Bend makes that part pretty easy. 🤙🏼🦦 #deschutes #bendlife #bendlifestyle taken in Bend, Oregon by @houseofalfaro

I know, I know. It’s hard to think about a future chapter when you’re buying a home and you’re so excited about the present.

But it’s so important to have a future mindset. You never know if or when you’ll want to move on to a different house, resell, or simply make a change.

Really, it’s about protecting your investment and keeping resale value in mind.

So when you’re looking to buy, don’t just think about what works for you right now. Think about the different features of the home and how they might impact its value down the road. by @houseofalfaro

Getting back into surfing after a long hiatus is very humbling, but the surf community here is rad!! People look out for each other, from a hand to hold or shoulder to lean on to get on the wave, to pointing out your board if you lose your bearings after the fall, everyone’s super supportive. Appreciate you all!! 🤙
