What Alex and I love about our collection isnt that we are a store for one kind of niche, but rather the criteria is the same for everyone…. We are the store to find something special no matter which clique you are dressing for any given day.

House of Couchie: where you will find thick Australian wool bucket hats for warmth and style, and fancy little cups for drinking whatever elixir you feel like concocting… the magical knit tank & matching shrug with embroidered woodland animals on it was available, but was a little too magical and it had to go home with our model! by @houseofcouchie

What do you do when you have a 40 year old denim jean jacket, that has been an integral part of your wardrobe and identity but despite its historical ruggedness needs some architectural support to help it carry on? You bring it to House Of Couchie….I’m not gonna lie this bad boy jacket was a dream to work on. I lovingly restored the collapsed neckband, the botton holes that were only a single thread left, the pockets that were in serious risk of falling out. And cuffs that were simply shrinking from wear and tear. And still this jacket was cool. The kind of cool that only adventures provide. Well worth the restoration and the smile on the owners face told me everything. Some days the joy of saving clothing is uncontainable.

We all need a beautiful black dress. We look great in them. They make us feel powerful. Tight fitting or twirly to take up space. The Choice is yours.
Our event tomorrow night is casual attire or formal or anything in between. We hope you play a little and give a nod to the Gypsy Witch herself. We hope you join us and check out the gorgeous collection of rich textures and moody colours, many from the 70’s.

We are celebrating the elegance and power of black, the feel of velvet against your skin, the stary sparkle of sequins, the mystery of lace, and the playful sensation of tassels. Why do we just relegate it to one month of the year when these are the historic qualities belonging to women year round and throughout time?
