F*ck. I love my life. I still pinch myself every once in a while. For 20-years I wanted to be a boudoir photographer full time but always did it on the side because I loved it too much. I was scared to really go for it. I didn’t know if I could handle failing. I’m so proud of myself that two years ago I made the leap to go full time. It’s been such an amazing journey. I’m SO happy! And feel SO honored to create magic with so many amazing women!!! And all the other amazing humans that I’ve photographed throughout the years. Love you all so much! Thank you for trusting me with the epic experience of a boudoir session! Can’t wait to see who I’ll meet in 2025! It’s always so fun to meet all the amazing people that walk through my door! AND, the incredible people and community I have here online. You make my heart so happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Shots from the first ever VELVET MOON 🌙

A live jazz & burlesque experience. Being the opening act to my first production felt very superstar and made me integrate and align with the fact that I am one. And my life’s the stage I get to play on because I make it so.

In October 1960, the Cuban government passed Law 890 and Law 891. These sweeping decrees authorized the forced seizure of more than 380 major Cuban-owned businesses and nationalized all private banks. Overnight, families who owned department stores, textile factories, sugar mills, and transportation networks lost their companies to the state with zero financial compensation.

Businesses owners were left to flee, often times without notice, overnight, leaving behind their families.

My upcoming act explores the experience of a grieving woman, left alone to deal with the crushing reality of her husbands absence, the pressure of state surveillance, and the ache of a love interrupted by history.

But this isn’t just a tragedy. Watch as sorrow shifts into strength. This is about peeling back the layers of mourning to find the resilient, powerful woman underneath, ready to command her own future.

I literally said out loud to myself “that’s gonna be really hard not to buy.” And then I was like “oh that’s so cute Susan- it’s gonna be hard not to buy because you’re obviously just gonna buy it. Duh”

I work alone. I talk to myself a lot, haha. You?

I’m excited to see what this ridiculous bean bag gets into.

I have a feeling it’s going to see some wild moments and help create some epic art.

Decided to be more intentional with making plans! Getting out of this funk. So my friend and I actually put it in the calendar once a month. Just to get a little high and get a little silly. The first one just happened to fall on 420 - perfect. 🤩

I love getting creative. And I love getting creative with my friends! Thank you @aroundtownwithkatiebrown for always being down to clown! Love you!!

That damn wall was really fun, but kept falling down. Decided to have the full wall like that cause I think it looks really cool. Just ordered a bunch more that gets here next week! Hopefully I can figure out how to get to stay up! Wish me luck 🤪

I was thinking it would be fun for group photos to have the full wall like that. For when we start doing events again! 🎉

I really do want to have a House of Delene launch party sometime! And have a bunch of us get together and dress up and celebrate life!

I’ve been SO mad, sad and, you know, lonely, lately.

I know a lot of us are feeling a lot lately. And when people closest to you don’t react in the way you thought they would, it’s disappointing. We’ve be grieving people we thought we knew. I’ve chosen to distance myself from people that were close.

I ran across this video my old assistant made for me. And it was great reminder of how amazing my life is. And how I’m NOT alone. And a great reminder to have balance. And keep up the JOY!!!!

LOVE YOU, ALL! I love my little community.

This is a reminder to myself. That even though I work alone, most of the time. And it can be lonely. Today, I’m deciding not to be a lonely girl. Thanks @justinbeisner

I’ve been trying to be more intentional with spending time with friends. Even if it’s just running errands together or body doubling. We don’t have to do this life alone. We don’t have to have a romantic partner to avoid loneliness.

We still get to be happy, and joyful. To fill up our cups, to keep fighting!

Go have a dance break! And make plans with a friend.

When I tell people Benny’s Pizza slices are big, they don’t always get it. THIS big 🥰

After your season, you go to lunch, and then come back for same-day viewing! Sometimes a slice a pizza hits just right! And this is right next to the studio :)

Also great for a late night studio session like tonight!

We don’t have to sit back and take it. We can stand up and say NO!!!

Protesting feels good. Now we need to make the calls, donate time or money to issues important to us. And…VOTE!!

And if you’re like me, and your name on your passport and drivers license doesn’t match, please get it updated! Just in case.

I grew up in the church, wearing WWJD “what would Jesus do” bracelets. Today, I’m not religious, but the people I know supporting Trump, are.

Today I held a sign saying WWJD “Who would Jesus deport?”

A kid saw my sign and he said “Jesus would deport Trump.”

You know, kid. I agree. I think he would. He had no patience for abusive, greedy men in power.
