Where you start should never determine where you end up. Born in a refugee camp, Nazha Rustom knows exactly what it means to carve your own path. Her unconventional journey took her from vocational education all the way to a university master’s degree. Today, Nazha works at the intersection of diversity, inclusion, and organizational development. She focuses on turning ambitious goals into tangible change by recognizing and developing hidden talent. Her leadership has earned major recognition, including being named D&I Manager of the Year, featured in the MT/Sprout Inclusive30 and Next Leadership 50, and serving as a Trainee Board Member at vfonds. Nazha believes organisations must look at talent differently to break down barriers and actively drive social progress. Curious to hear her story and explore how leaders can make this possible? Come and join us at The Culture Code on November 5th. Head to the link in our bio to grab your tickets today.🎟️ by @houseofinclusion
Who better to unpack the future of inclusive leadership than our very own House of Inclusion co-founders? @sacha_martina and @daniellejiskoot have spent years guiding leaders and organisations toward authentic, structural culture change. Fresh off the launch of their brand-new book Doe eens normaal, they are ready to unpack what it really means to lead inclusively. In a world where "doing normal" is often used as a barrier, Sacha and Danielle challenge us to question the norm itself. At The Culture Code, they will share key takeaways from the book, raw insights, and practical frameworks on how leaders can look past biases and build workplaces where everyone truly thrives.💜 by @houseofinclusion

With just two more week till the newest edition of The Culture Code we are so excited to announce our second batch of amazing speakers: Deel de Duif is a Dutch interfaith dialogue initiative that aims to bridge divides between different communities through mutual understanding. It began as a response to the rising social tensions in the Netherlands after the events of 7 October 2023 in the Middle East. Drawing on our own experiences, we created a workshop that teaches others how to have difficult, polarising conversations. Combining principles from nonviolent communication with mediation techniques, we developed our own Deel de Duif approach. It started out aimed at school classes, but over time it has reached more and more professionals as well. Participants learn concrete tips and tricks for discussing complex topics. The idea behind Deel de Duif is simple: if we give people the tools to open up conversations on polarising topics, they can use those tools themselves and help make the people around them a little more understanding. Arwin Bisoen is the Inclusive Futures Lead for Capgemini and Sogeti NL, dedicated to driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and positive cultural change across the organization with a focus on human-centric management. At the upcoming event The Culture Code, Arwin will co-host an interactive workshop alongside Esther Veenendaal from Great Place to Work. Their session, titled “Inclusive Futures For All - From inclusive leadership to high trust leadership,” will share practical insights on shifting leadership styles to build high-trust environments where every employee can thrive. Born in Amsterdam to a Surinamese father and a Trinidadian mother, Lucia Capel grew up in the Bijlmer: an environment that shaped her broad outlook on people, cultures and connection. It was also where she experienced early on the impact of prejudice and the importance of role models and representation. With more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources, she is most passionate about working for organisations where people feel seen, heard and challenged. As Head of Human Resources at Banijay Benelux, she combines strategic HR leadership with a strong f by @houseofinclusion

What does community mean to you? 💬 At the last edition of The Culture Code, we asked our speakers and attendees just that. Their answers: a place where you can show up as yourself. A safe space for everyone. Proof that inclusion is something you feel, not just talk about. Real change starts with authentic conversations, and these were some of our favourites. 🎥 Now we’re ready for the next chapter. This edition, we’re turning the spotlight on inclusive leadership: how leaders can actively build spaces where everyone thrives. 📍 5 November | Club ACE, Amsterdam Ready to join the conversation? Meet the people behind House of Inclusion.  We sat down with our co-founder @daniellejiskoot for a one on one rapid fire interview. We ask her about her favourite cuisine and the one song she can not help to sing along to.  Keep watching to find out the one thing Danielle wants you to take away from working with us. by @houseofinclusion
Last night, we organised the very first edition of the Diversity Dinner and it was a huge success! 💜 We partnered up with our dear friends from @andagencyams to have conversation with CMOs, creatives, brand managers and business owners about getting the tone right to your audience in marketing, create inclusive campaigns that last and including your target audience the best way possible. And what do you do if you mess up? An incredible night full of inspiring speakers, great networking and some lessons shared. We had a three course inclusive dinner from @felixjanssencatering to create a full circle experience for our guests. Curious to learn about next editions? 👋🏼👀 Get in touch! Thank you to the incredible @houseofinclusion team and @charlottejiskoot and @shelligbi in patricular for nailing it, as usual 🙏🏼 by @houseofinclusion
